(Part 5 of 5) - my investing muse (19Oct2026)

5 · My Investing Muse Our thoughts on the week ahead. We use this section to explore questions, not to offer firm conclusions. The AI money-go-round The way money moves around the AI industry continues to concern us. Some attention is now on companies such as CoreWeave. Its co-founders have reportedly sold about $3.3 billion of shares since the 2025 IPO, while the value of their remaining holdings has fallen sharply. Insiders can sell shares for many reasonable reasons. Even so, it is fair to ask whether some are selling now because they expect prices to fall further. 1 Body, 3 Machines, & SpaceX Physics: Inside Tesla’s Wild New Roadster

🚀 The 2026 Tesla Roadster: 1 Body, 3 Machines, & SpaceX Physics $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$   $Space Exploration Technologies Corp(SPCX)$   After a 9-year wait, Tesla unveiled the next-gen Roadster on October 15, 2026, outside Waco, Texas. But what rolled onto the stage wasn't just a sports car—it was an engineering system borrowed directly from rocketry. Tesla filled every void in the chassis with high-pressure air and introduced three fundamentally different configurations sharing a single body style: 🚗 1. 🚨 AI Infrastructure Selloff: Demand Crisis or Financing Crunch? 🚨

If you own or follow neoclouds & AI plays like $TeraWulf Inc.(WULF)$  , $IREN,$NEBIUS(NBIS)$  , $Cipher Mining Inc.(CIFR)$  , & $ALPD, you need to read this 🧵👇 📉 The Market's Blind Spot: Wall Street is currently punishing the entire AI infrastructure sector as if every company operates the exact same way. Silicon Paradox: Reconciling TSMC’s Record Highs with the AI Hardware Equity Sell-Off

Recent financial disclosures revealed a glaring dichotomy in the technology sector: TSMC delivered record-breaking quarterly net profits driven by insatiable demand for advanced 3nm and 5nm nodes, but we saw selloff last week from AI hardware names. In this article, we would like to look at the factors and catalysts that is contributing to this silicon paradox. 1. The Surface Paradox: Record Profits vs. Market Sell-Off When $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ reported its latest quarterly financial results, the figures exceeded even the most bullish consensus estimates. Gross margins expanded beyond key guidance thresholds, operating margins hit historical highs, and revenue derived from High-Performance Computing (HPC)—which encapsulates AI

Beginner guide to 🌍🐱 How War News Becomes a Catalyst for Stock Markets, Indexes and ETFs TigerTrade

BEGINNER’S GUIDE · GEOPOLITICS & MARKETS 🌍🐱 How War News Becomes a Catalyst for Stock Markets, Indexes and ETFs Understanding oil prices, inflation, interest rates, the S&P 500, Nasdaq, Hang Seng and the ETFs that investors watch. War headlines can move financial markets even when the fighting is happening thousands of kilometres away. The reason is simple: markets do not only trade what is happening today. They trade expectations about what might happen tomorrow. When investors hear about a conflict involving Iran, the Middle East, Russia or Ukraine, they start asking several questions. Will oil supplies be disrupted? Will petrol become more expensive? Could inflation rise again? Will central banks keep interest rates higher for longer? Could companies earn less money because thei

5 Stocks Could Drive S&P 500 Earnings Growth — But There’s a Catch

The headline number looks impressive. The real story is what’s driving it. According to FactSet, the S&P 500’s blended third-quarter earnings growth rate is expected to reach 29%. But five companies stand out as major contributors: Micron (MU), Nvidia (NVDA), Meta Platforms (META), EchoStar (SATS) and Boeing (BA). At first glance, this looks like another strong earnings season. However, these companies are benefiting from very different circumstances, and investors should understand the difference. 💾 1. Micron (MU): The Memory Chip Boom Micron has benefited from tight memory-chip supply and strong demand, particularly as AI infrastructure requires increasingly sophisticated memory solutions. Its August-quarter earnings reportedly increased by more than 1,000% year over year, according

TOP苏36: India's biggest opportunity may also be its biggest investment trap. The UTI India Nifty 50 Index ETF VCC launches on SGX on November 12, giving Singapore investors access to 50 leading Indian companies without an Indian brokerage account. India's domestic consumption, infrastructure spending and financial-sector expansion offer compelling long-term growth drivers. Its different sector composition may also diversify portfolios heavily concentrated in US technology stocks. But here's the catch:economic growth does not automatically translate into stock market returns.Currency depreciation can erode gains, valuations still matter, and past outperformance guarantees nothing. My view? India deserves consideration as a long-term portfolio diversifier, but investors should avoid confusing a promising economy with a bargain-priced market. @Tiger_SG [真香]

Waste Management (WM): The Business That Keeps Paying

🚛 Not every investment opportunity needs a technology revolution. Sometimes, boring businesses have a powerful advantage. When investors discuss growth stocks, the conversation often revolves around AI, semiconductors and the next big technological breakthrough. AI Earnings Season: 5 Stocks That Must Prove Their Growth Is Worth the Price

The AI trade is entering a new test. This time, big promises may not be enough. After a turbulent week for technology stocks, investors are becoming more selective about where they put their money. Concerns about inflation, elevated valuations and the sustainability of AI spending have put pressure on the Nasdaq. The market is increasingly asking whether the enormous investment in artificial intelligence will translate into lasting profits. That makes the upcoming earnings reports particularly important. For companies associated with AI, simply announcing new products or reporting strong revenue growth may not be enough to satisfy investors. Markets want evidence that demand is real, customers are willing to pay, and the resulting earnings can justify current valuations. Here are five stoc

US Market: Q3 Earnings, Inflation, Treasury and what else?

For week ending Fri, 16 Oct 2026, US stock market delivered highly split performances, heavily dragged down by a sharp tech sector sell-off. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite tumbled -4.5% to close at 26,140.03, while the benchmark S&P 500 index fell -1.9% to 7,659.44, marking the worst weekly drops for both indexes since June 2026. In contrast, the Dow Jones index bucked the downward trend, gaining +0.7% to finish at 52,002.41 behind strengths in defensive value, financials, and healthcare. (see below) US market downturn was primarily driven by hot consumer inflation data and intensifying credit concerns over the long-term profitability of massive AI infrastructure investments. These AI and debt jitters battered semiconductor companies, pushing the

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  is heading into earnings with something to prove. After falling nearly 30% from its December high, the stock remains under pressure. Investors are now looking for evidence that Tesla can stabilise its core automotive business while funding its ambitious expansion into AI, robotics and autonomous driving. 🛡️OpenAI Is Building Its Cybersecurity Business — Here’s Why It Matters

The AI race may be entering a new phase. OpenAI has reportedly hired Graham Seamans, who previously led sales at xAI, to lead sales for its cybersecurity business, according to Bloomberg. Seamans joined xAI in August 2025 and previously spent around eight years at MongoDB. His move highlights a growing battle for commercial talent as AI companies look beyond chatbots and compete for enterprise customers. But the bigger story isn’t one executive changing jobs. It’s the opportunity to bring AI into cybersecurity. 🔐 Why Is Cybersecurity an Interesting Opportunity? Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important as businesses move more operations online and adopt AI tools.
