$Marvell Technology(MRVL)$   Maybe Matt Murphy should just not say anything. After the last quarterly results conference, MRVL tanks. Now after the Investor Day ra-ra speech, MRVL tanks.  And this were even after he had positive things to say. Imagine what happens if there is a slowdown as eventually there must be one.  Now the market is waiting for the two big elephants to IPO. Anthropic and OpenAI.  What if like SpaceX the IPO does not deliver, or maintain super high stock prices?

Tesla: 3 Key Investor Takeaways 1. Demand Momentum Is Improving: Q3 deliveries exceeded production by 22,141 vehicles, signaling inventory reduction and potentially healthier end-market demand. The key question is whether this reflects sustainable consumer demand or temporary delivery timing. 2. A Positive Quarter Doesn't Guarantee a Valuation Recovery: Despite the 4.65% share-price gain, Tesla remains down 17.6% YTD versus the S&P 500's 12.81% gain. The market needs evidence of sustained growth, resilient margins, and stronger earnings expectations to justify multiple expansion. 3. Watch Execution, Not Just Deliveries: The next leg of the rally depends on whether Tesla can convert delivery growth into profitable growth. Monitor automotive gross margins, pricing trends, free cash flow,

TOPMojoStellar: Fair points to both. I’d look beyond delivery numbers and inventory movements to see whether Tesla can translate volume growth into sustainable margins and stronger cash flow. The real catalyst for a rerating will be evidence that demand, pricing power, and profitability are improving together. Until then, the upside case needs execution, not just a better delivery headline. Cheers [Cool]

Macro Deleveraging, Not Operational Breakdown: CIFR's drop from $19 down to ~$13.50 is driven by macro yield pressure (10Y yield spiking to ~5.35%) and sector-wide fears over debt costs for AI/HPC buildouts, alongside broader crypto weakness. Iggy's Journal: DBS, OCBC and UOB Each Fell More Than 4% in One Day. Who Is Giving You the Reason?

Iggy's Journal: DBS, OCBC and UOB Each Fell More Than 4% in One Day. Who Is Giving You the Reason? Fri 09 Oct 2026 | Midday The Numbers On 8 Oct, DBS closed down 4.7 percent, OCBC down 4.3 percent and UOB down 5.2 percent, per Singapore Business Review citing SGX. The reports I read give four different reasons, from profit-taking to Citi's cut of OCBC to Sell, and they show no announcement from any of the three banks in the two sessions. Most of what is quoted describes market mood or views about price, not facts about the companies. The new episode sorts the reasons by who is giving them. My Personal Take Two of the reasons are easy to place. Profit-taking describes what sellers did, not what a bank did. Money Is Moving Beyond Chips. The Next Winners May Be Hiding in Plain Sight.

$CoreWeave, Inc.(CRWV)$  $Lumentum(LITE)$  $Bloom Energy Corp(BE)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$   When semiconductor stocks sell off, it’s tempting to assume the AI trade is losing momentum. But look at Thursday’s movers. CoreWeave jumped 11.72%, Lumentum surged 11.04%, Bloom Energy gained 9.63%, and Nebius climbed 7.73%, even as chip stocks came under pressure. My question: Is the market abandoning AI, or shifting its attention to the infrastructure needed to make AI work? I see four very different investment stories emerging. 🔌 1. Lumentum ($LITE): The connections behind AI AI data centres need more

The First Post-Holiday Rebound Is Imminent, Here’s How I’m Positioning

Markets saw little meaningful volatility during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, giving us a calm and enjoyable break. However, unusual moves emerged once trading resumed. The rebound in crude oil futures deserves the most attention. The continuous WTI crude oil contract opened at 90.40, reached a high of 93.68 and a low of 88.79, before closing at 92.91. The candle itself was not extraordinary. Its location was what mattered. My technical model provides a useful framework for tracking this market over time. Crude oil tends to respect key technical levels. This rebound began precisely at the long-term ascending trendline extending from the lows. Prices also held the previous consolidation range between 89.86 and 104.70 :

Singapore Bank Stocks Extend Losses After JPMorgan Flags Pressure From Soaring Long Bond Yields on Q3 Profits

Singapore bank shares deepened their decline on Friday as JPMorgan Chase & Co. cautioned that sharply rising long bond yields will weigh on third-quarter earnings for lenders in Southeast Asia. $UOB(U11.SI)$ fell 1.91%; $DBS(D05.SI)$ fell 1.27%; $OCBC Bank(O39.SI)$ fell 0.45%. On Thursday, DBS Group Holdings Ltd. and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. each fell more than 4%, while United Overseas Bank Ltd. dropped 5.2%. These stocks were among the heaviest drags on the benchmark Straits Times Index, which plunged 3.5%, its biggest drop since April 2025. The index was the weakest performer in Asia. The slide follows a multiyear rally in Singapore lenders fuel

Samsung’s 782.5% Surge and the Global Memory Super-Cycle

$Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.(SSNLF)$ Samsung Electronics has posted an astonishing 782.5% surge in preliminary third-quarter operating profit, reaching 107.4 trillion won (US$80.1 billion). In this article, we would like to share an in-depth equity valuation & beneficiary analysis for institutional investors and what it means for retail investors like us. 1. Decoding Samsung's Record-Breaking Quarter In October 2026, Samsung Electronics altered the financial landscape of technology by projecting a preliminary third-quarter operating profit of 107.4 trillion won ($80.1 billion). This staggering 782.5% year-over-year leap represents the first time in technological history that a single corporate entity has posted a quarterly operating profit

US Banks GS, JPM, MS - Profits alone won't save ?

If you think US banks are still winners in 2026, it needs an October update. For starters, $Goldman Sachs(GS)$ stock ticked down slightly early Thu, 08 Oct 2026, extending a painful sell-off that has almost zeroed out 2026 gains for the storied Wall Street bank - days ahead of its Q3 2026 earnings release. (see below) According to Yahoo Finance data: GS has fallen in 10 of the past 12 weeks. Dropping more than -20% since its July 2026 peak. (see below) For the year, shares were up less than 1% as of Thu, 08 Oct 2026 morning. Prior to 08 Oct 2026's trading, shares of the investment bank had lost -13.44% lagged the Finance sector's loss of -4.09% and the S&P 500's gain of +1.4%. The retreat comes as a dramatic reversal of investor appetite.

TOPNING667: GS probably gets hit harder from deal flow cooling than retail-heavy banks. Profits can stay decent while the multiple still compresses lol

I think the long end can stay elevated, or even move higher, even if the Fed stands pat. The key issue is that the 10Y/30Y are increasingly being driven by more than the expected Fed path. Fiscal deficits, heavy Treasury issuance and a rising term premium can keep pushing long-term yields higher without another rate hike. A Fed pause may relieve some pressure at the front end, but it does not automatically solve the supply-demand imbalance further out the curve. If investors demand more compensation to hold duration, the curve could steepen through higher long-end yields. For equities, that matters because a 5%+ 10Y keeps the discount-rate hurdle high, particularly for expensive growth stocks. My base case: Fed pause ≠ long-end relief. I would watch Treasury auctions, term premium and infl

Futures Positioning: Risk Appetite Cools as Equity, Gold and Silver Longs Pull Back

CFTC Data: What It Is, Why It Matters and What to Watch The CFTC publishes its Commitments of Traders report each week. Known as the COT report, it is a key gauge of positioning across global futures markets. Its main value lies in showing which investor groups are driving price action. Market moves ultimately reflect competition among different types of capital. CFTC data makes these forces visible by breaking positions down by trader category. The CFTC divides market positions into three main categories: Non-commercial: Speculative traders, mainly hedge funds and CTAs, that seek to profit from price moves. They are the most responsive and directional market participants. Commercial: Companies that use futures to hedge business risks. Their positions primarily reflect risk

TOPkoolgal: 🌟🌟🌟 $OCBC Bank(O39.SI)$ is the stock I searched the most especially after Citi downgraded OCBC to a Sell. This wiped billions off its market value in a flash. It is painful but deep down in my heart I know that OCBC is the kind of quality stock that has stood the test of time. Through financial crises, global pandemics & shifting interest rate cycles, OCBC has stood immovable, compounding wealth for generations. But the good news is now I can buy OCBC shares in lots of 10, and put my warchest to work immediately. Warren Buffett likes to say: "Predicting rain doesn't count, building arks does". Instead of panicking when the rain will stop, I am slowly but surely accumulating OCBC, brick by brick, ensuring I emerge stronger when the sun comes back out. @TigerEvents @TigerStars @Tiger_SG @Tiger_comments

English version: U.S. Dollar: 102.1–101.6 Is the Key Range On October 8, the U.S. Dollar Index rallied but failed to break above its previous high before pulling back, closing the day with a bearish candle featuring a long upper wick. The indices: the selling stayed inside technology, so the Nasdaq fell while the Dow closed higher The three indices split on Thursday: the $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ fell 1.25 per cent to 27,193.34, the steepest of them; the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ fell 0.47 per cent to 7,765.36; and the $Dow Jones(.DJI)$ rose 0.10 per cent to 51,231.60. The 10-year Treasury yield came back from 5.28 per cent to 5.23 per cent on the same day. The Dow Closed Higher While the Nasdaq Lost 1.25 Per Cent. What Split Them?
TOP吉3186: Conservative Views on AI Stock Pullback In my personal opinion, the 5.34% drop in Intel's stock price illustrates that during market panic, a single piece of positive news may not be enough to support the stock price. Investors are more concerned about the prospects of the entire semiconductor industry, company profitability, and market sentiment. The long-term development trend of AI still deserves attention, but OpenAI's revenue expectations, chip demand, and AI debt issues all remind us that we cannot only look at orders, but also at whether customers have the ability to continue paying. If it were me, I wouldn't rush to buy at the bottom just because the stock price is falling, nor would I sell immediately just because there are no positive news. Instead, I would first look at the financial statements, cash flow, debt, and valuation. My view is that short-term stock prices may be influenced by emotions, but long-term stock prices ultimately depend on performance. Investing requires patience and, more importantly, risk control. Avoid blindly chasing high prices or easily gambling on a rebound.
