The Brutal Evolution: Why Marvell Didn’t Just Dump POET—It Upgraded

$POET Technologies Inc(POET)$   $Marvell Technology(MRVL)$   The market loves a scandal. It’s easy to digest. When the news broke that Marvell Technology severed ties with POET Technologies, the narrative was served on a silver platter: "CFO’s big mouth violates NDA; partnership terminated." It’s a neat story. It’s also a convenient smokescreen. If you understand how Big Tech operates, you know that billion-dollar roadmaps don’t get scrapped because of a slip of the tongue. You don't burn a bridge you're still walking on. You only burn it when you’ve already finished building the tunnel. The "Smoking Gun" Timeline To see the truth, you have to ignore the words

TOPeddie321: it might be true that polariton owned a superior tech , but they arent a proven tech as of now and is in looking into integrating marvell stack , but in the tech world you doesn't command all market share even if you're superior .. Diversification from hyperscaler alone will be sufficient or even outperform what poet could provide to the market.

The U.S. Stock Market Just Confirmed a New Bull Cycle

The Week of April 20, 2026 will be remembered as a structural inflection point. After 8 consecutive weeks in a Sell and Observe phase, the U.S. Market Average Index (USMAI) — the weighted composite of the $Dow Jones(.DJI)$ $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM)$ and $S&P 500(.SPX)$ — formally crossed into confirmed Bullish zone territory, closing the week at 7,296.9, up +1.06%. The zone level crossing from Bearish −41% to Bullish +19% is not a minor data point. It represents the structural event that 8 weeks of analysis had been anticipating — the completion of a corrective base and the activation of a new Bu

Earnings season is in full swing, 5 stocks I'm Watching This Week

Somehow, the biggest, most popular companies in the world decided to report earnings in the same 48-hour period this quarter. Between the close of the market on Tuesday and the same period of time on Thursday, we may see what the next year looks like for businesses around the globe. I’ll be following them closely, so I wanted to go over five things I’m looking for that will drive the portfolio. More on that in a moment. 5 Things I’m Watching Here’s what I’m looking at this week. Spotify’s User Growth & Operating Leverage Shares of $Spotify Technology S.A.(SPOT)$ are down 33% from their high last year, and most of that drop is because the stock’s valuation got a little stretched. Shares currently trade for 34x forward earnings estimates and 26x

⚡ Oil's Geopolitical Bid vs. Gold's Retreat — How to Play the Energy Rotation Right Now

$W&T Offshore(WTI)$ $Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund(XLE)$   $SPDR Gold ETF(GLD)$   $Phillips 66(PSX)$   $DALATA HOTEL GP(DAL.UK)$ The Pulse The macro narrative is shifting fast: crude oil is getting a hard geopolitical floor from Middle East supply fears while gold quietly surrenders ground as safe-haven rotation unwinds. With US–Iran tensions keeping the Strait of Hormuz risk premium alive, $WTI is running on headline fuel — not clean trend momentum — and that creates a high-conviction dip-buying window for disciplined traders. Trading in borrowed shares shares that were sold short jumped to 33.51 million shares Friday, the biggest among stocks with a market capital of more than $5 billion. The stock has been riding a strong wave of momentum, up roughly 18% in the last 30 days, which sets a high bar for the release. $Amazon.com(AMZN)$  is scheduled to report its fiscal Q1 2026 earnings on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, after the market close. TOPAdz5150: I can see the bullish case here, especially if AWS shows strong execution and management gives confidence on the AI commercial payoff. For me though, the key issue is whether earnings will be strong enough to justify how much optimism is already in the stock. Amazon can absolutely still deliver, but at these levels the market usually wants more than just “good.”

In February 2025, I conducted a valuation analysis of Olam Group following the Olam Agri transaction. By calculating the implied value of Olam Agri based on its private sale price and comparing it to Olam Group’s total market capitalization, a clear discrepancy emerged. My conclusion was straightforward: when Olam’s share price dipped below 1 SGD, the market was valuing the entire Group at less than the stake in Olam Agri. This effectively meant that shareholders were acquiring Olam OFI for free. This thesis proved correct and resulted in a profitable trade, highlighting a significant market mispricing of the Group’s underlying assets. $Olam Group(VC2.SI)$

Olam's Financial Performance: Divestment of Olam Agri to Address Cost Challenges

@MilkTeaBro
Olam Holdings Pte. Ltd. and Olam Agri Pte. Ltd. have entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of a 44.58% stake in Olam Agri to the Saudi Agricultural and Food Investment Company (SALIC). This transaction represents a strategic move for both companies, with SALIC seeking to expand its global footprint in the food and agriculture sector, while Olam aims to optimize its portfolio and unlock value for its shareholders. The transaction, valued at approximately US$1.78 billion (S$2.35 billion), is expected to be completed by Q4 2025. SALIC previously acquired a 35.43% stake in Olam Agri in 2022, demonstrating its commitment to the long-term growth of the company. Olam retains the option to sell the remaining 19.99% stake in Olam Agri to SALIC at closing value plus a 6% internal rate of

Market expectations suggest the cloud giant will benefit substantially from its partnership with Anthropic, although the recent stock price has partially factored in this expectation. On April 20, Amazon invested an additional $5 billion in Anthropic, with a potential total commitment of up to $20 billion. This comes on top of its prior $8 billion investment. Investors should also be wary of the risks associated with the acceleration in CapEx, and management will need to justify it. Core Financial Indicators – Amazon's revenue is expected

Heat Premium: Pricing the Bottlenecks Powering Vertiv’s Surge

Scarcity, Not Steel I’ve started to think of Vertiv less as an industrial manufacturer and more as a toll collector on a very crowded motorway—except the motorway is overheating, and everyone is willing to pay extra to keep moving. What it really sells is not equipment, but relief: relief from thermal limits, power instability, and hyperscale timelines that now resemble high-frequency trades rather than infrastructure planning. AI traffic surges; infrastructure quietly charges for every degree This is where 'constraint arbitrage' stops sounding clever and starts sounding accurate. Vertiv sits precisely where digital ambition collides with physical limitation, and right now, limitation is winning just enough to be profitable. As GPUs grow more power-dense and thermally unforgiving, the bott

AMD Stock Surged 13.91% in a Single Day

April 24, 2026 will be a memorable day in $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ 's history. The stock opened around $336.76, ground steadily higher through the session in a classic stair-step pattern of higher lows and controlled pullbacks, and closed at $347.8 — a gain of 13.91% on the day. Volume was extraordinary. Momentum was near-maximum. The catalyst was a cascade of converging forces, each amplifying the others. The primary spark came from DA Davidson analyst Gil Luria, who upgraded AMD from Neutral to Buy and dramatically raised the price target from $220 to $375 — a 70% revision that sent an unmistakable signal to the institutional community. The upgrade cited Intel's massive Q1 2026 earnings beat as the structural catalyst: Intel's Q1 revenue of

TOPMkoh: IBIT (iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF) is primed for growth due to its dominant position as the largest, most liquid Bitcoin spot ETF from BlackRock. It offers easy, regulated access to BTC in traditional brokerage accounts with low fees (~0.25%), institutional-grade custody via Coinbase, and massive daily volume—capturing the lion's share of recent inflows (often 75%+). With $62B+ AUM and holding over 800k BTC (3.8% of supply), it benefits from ongoing institutional adoption, potential 401(k) flows, and bullish BTC outlooks for 2026 amid its scarcity narrative. As the go-to vehicle for Wall Street, IBIT is set to capture more capital as Bitcoin matures.

From Pills to Pipes: Lilly’s Quiet Infrastructure Coup

The Biological Gold Rush Nobody Modelled Properly I have watched countless companies try to rebrand themselves as ‘platforms’, usually with the subtlety of a re-labelled spreadsheet. $Eli Lilly(LLY)$ feels different. What I am seeing is not a pharmaceutical firm stretching into adjacent markets, but infrastructure being laid beneath a global metabolic economy. While much of Wall Street remains hypnotised by silicon and servers, Lilly is quietly monetising something far more persistent: human biology. The demand curve here is not cyclical, nor particularly sensitive to gadget refresh cycles. It is, quite literally, embedded in the global population. Biology, not silicon, may become the century’s most profitable infrastructure The recent share price

To Chase or Not to Chase

$NVDA$ For the first time in nine months, NVDA looks ready to break into a new range. We're now in the phase of testing the upper bound — expectations point to 225–235. Given NVDA's massive market cap, a 10–20% surge isn't exactly typical. That makes selling puts a more comfortable way to chase the move. The strike depends on your risk tolerance. $AMD$ AMD should hit 400 this year. Pullbacks are good entry points. Right now, the bears are targeting the 5-day moving average at 310 and the gap at 300. If this were last year's market, I'd say AMD would either rally into earnings or hold 330 in a tight range, then pull back post-print — a perfect entry opportunity. But after Intel's earnings, those old rules may not apply. That said, Friday's jump likely priced in much of the upside. So the po

ETF Giants Competer for NDX:Similar Funds Monitor Impact for Investors

COMPANIES AND MARKETS By FactSet Insight  |  April 23, 2026 Competition within the U.S. ETF industry has reached a fever pitch. On April 6, 2026, Nasdaq announced a decision to offer Nasdaq-100 Index licensing “to a new select set of partners for U.S. ETF products” that ends the exclusivity Invesco has enjoyed for decades. Shortly afterwards, industry giants BlackRock and State Street each filed for an ETF to track the index. That move is a direct challenge to the dominance of the iconic Invesco QQQ Trust Series, better known by its ticker $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ . Launched in 1999 amid Y2K concerns, $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ played a major role in expanding investor access to innovative technology
