Michael Burry Shorts AI Giants: Will This Pullback End 6-Month Bull Run?

US stocks began falling in pre-market trading, with $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ and $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ both down more than 1%. Does this sudden early-month drop feel familiar? In August and September, the market also fell on the first trading day of the month. October was different — the drop came on Oct 10, when Trump once again threatened new tariffs. Now it’s the second trading day of November:Is this just a normal minor pullback, or the end of the six-month rally?“The Big Short”, Michael Burry, is shorting $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ and $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ — two of the biggest names in the AI frenzy, making up 8
Michael Burry Shorts AI Giants: Will This Pullback End 6-Month Bull Run?
TOPShyon: This early-November drop does feel familiar — just like August and September when markets stumbled right after strong rallies. With QQQ $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ and SPY $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ down over 1% pre-market, I see this as a short-term breather rather than panic selling. Still, after a six-month surge and extreme optimism, a pullback seems overdue. Michael Burry shorting Palantir $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ and Nvidia $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ feels like a warning against AI mania, especially as even bullish voices like Ed Yardeni expect a 5% correction. A reset could actually be healthy after such a steep climb. What really concerns me is liquidity. SOFR spiking and record Fed repo usage hint that money is tightening fast. If that continues while AI stocks stay hot, the risk of a deeper correction grows. For now, I’m cautious — once the Mag 7 start to slip, the real test begins. @Tiger_comments @TigerStars

$PLTR 20251114 230.0 CALL$ I am long pltr from early days, so while I experience capital gains from holding, I short calls on the stock during hype like recently. Now that it has inevitably taken a dip, i farm premium off writing covered calls. I could have used a more aggressive delta (I believe I used 20% delta) but the gamma held me back. Either way, happy to collect profit during a bear day like today.

Trump's Youngest Son Shorts QQQ, Big Short Bet Against NVDA and PLTR – What's Going On?

$Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ This afternoon, there was news that Trump's youngest son, Barron, bought over 20,000 contracts of QQQ 570 puts on November 3rd $QQQ 20251231 570.0 PUT$ , worth approximately $10.9 million. This trade is clearly recorded on the volume chart. Given the low demand for such deep out-of-the-money options, it's almost certain that specific volume spike was Barron's doing. What does a drop to 570 imply? Roughly a 10% market-wide correction. There's much speculation about Barron's motive. Previously, rumors suggested Barron runs a stock trading group with a $1 million entry threshold. This group has had some successful trades, often coinciding with Trump's policy announceme

ORCL: Institutional Holdings Solid, Return to $330 Still Expected This Year

$Oracle(ORCL)$ recently completed a partial gap filling around $260, which corresponds to the previous breakout range (07/31 H), a typical support/resistance flip structure. It's worth noting that although the institutional money flow curve has recently started to decline, as of today, the institutional cumulative flow is still higher than the level on September 10th.This means that despite three rounds of profit-taking (at $345, $329, and $322 respectively), major funds have not withdrawn, and net buying power remains. From a fundamental perspective, Oracle is undergoing its most significant structural transformation since its inception:The company is transforming from a traditional enterprise software vendor into a cloud infrastructure and AI-driv

CIFR: +22% Surge, Profit-Taking Into $25 Highs

$Cipher Mining Inc.(CIFR)$ $22.76 (+22.04%): AWS AI lease spike with long upper wick; traders eye $20–$25 shakeout rangeMarket Recap (as of Oct 31, 2025):Cipher Mining closed at $22.76, surging +22.04% on the day and pushing its YTD gain to roughly +390%, after an intraday run as high as $25.11 before fading to finish about 9% below its new 52-week peak. Volume exploded to 132M+ shares, more than 3× the recent average, underscoring aggressive repositioning in the name. Yahoo Finance shows no meaningful TTM P/E because GAAP EPS remains negative at -0.45, but valuation screens indicate a forward P/E around 32x, versus the S&P 500’s forward multiple near 23x, meaning CIFR now trades at a premium to an already-expensive market. The move is being dr

$IREN Ltd(IREN)$ $67.75 (+11.52%): AI megadeal gap-up, but 10% below highs inside a choppy $60–75 bandMarket Recap (as of Oct 31, 2025):IREN Limited closed at $67.75, up +11.52% on the day, after gapping higher on news of a $9.7B, five-year AI infrastructure contract with Microsoft for Nvidia GPUs, which cements IREN as a key AI data-center capacity provider. The move came on ~80M shares, more than 2× its average volume, and leaves the stock roughly 10.5% below its 52-week high near $75.7.Despite the intraday selloff from an open above $73, YTD performance is extraordinary (~+590%), driven by the pivot from pure Bitcoin mining toward high-margin AI cloud capacity. $Circle Internet Corp.(CRCL)$ $117.86 (−7.18%): Post-IPO fever cools; stablecoin leader drifts toward $110–$140 digestion zoneMarket Recap (as of Oct 31, 2025):Circle Internet Group closed at $117.86, down 7.18% on the day with ~9.0M shares traded vs ~11.3M average, leaving the stock roughly 61% below its 52-week peak near $299 but still about +71% YTD. The pullback continues the de-rating that began after Circle and early holders filed to sell 10M shares only two months after the IPO, raising dilution concerns and signalling heavy insider profit-taking after a 400%+ post-listing surge.Recent earnings showed strong ~53% revenue growth but a sizable net loss (EPS ≈ −4.5), keeping trailing P/E in “at loss” territory, while Yahoo’s stats imply a forw

$BitMine Immersion Technologies Inc.(BMNR)$ $42.86 (−8.12%): ETH-treasury darling cools off, still 73% below $161 spike with $35–$50 volatility corridorMarket Recap (as of Oct 31, 2025):BitMine Immersion Technologies closed at $42.86, down 8.12%, on ~31.5M shares versus ~50.9M average, leaving the stock up ~490% YTD but still about 73% below its July blow-off high near $161.The drop comes despite fresh headlines that BitMine now holds 3.4M ETH (~2.8% of total supply) plus BTC and cash for a $13.7B crypto+cash treasury, positioning it as the world’s largest corporate Ethereum holder.Recent commentary from B. $Opendoor Technologies Inc(OPEN)$ $7.59 (−2.32%): Post-squeeze cool-down as iBuyer trade drifts; bulls fighting to hold the $7–8 rangeMarket Recap (as of Oct 31, 2025):Opendoor Technologies closed at $7.59, down 2.32% on the day and sitting about 30% below its 52-week high near $10.87. Volume (~87M) was well under the ~267M average, pointing to orderly consolidation rather than capitulation. The stock is digesting its huge summer squeeze while investors weigh high mortgage rates and sluggish housing turnover ahead of Nov 6 earnings. With TTM EPS −0.43, OPEN has no meaningful trailing P/E; unlike the S&P 500’s ~23× forward multiple, the name is still valued mainly on revenue growth and the path toward breakeven rather than steady profits.Techni

Volume is slightly below its recent average, suggesting persistent but not panicked selling. The slide follows weeks of headline risk around fatal SU7 EV crashes and door-safety concerns, which triggered Xiaomi’s worst weekly drop in years and amplified regulatory scrutiny of electronic door handles.Technical Indicators Analysis:On the daily chart, price sits well below the falling 20- and 50-day EMAs (≈HK$47 / 50), confirming a short-term downtrend. $SanDisk Corp.(SNDK)$ $207.01 (+3.85%): Parabolic NAND rally grinds higher, 3% shy of highs with 185–230 battle zone in playMarket Recap (as of Oct 31, 2025):Sandisk closed at $207.01, up +3.85%, on ~10.6M shares vs ~6.3M average, extending a ~5× YTD run while sitting only ~3% below its 52-week high at $213.40. The move is powered by a sharp rebound in NAND fundamentals: ASPs are rising and recent results showed margin recovery as flash supply tightens. On the sentiment side, Wedbush hiked its target from $60 to $220 (Outperform) and Morgan Stanley just raised to $230 (Overweight), framing Sandisk as a key beneficiary of AI and cloud storage demand.Fundamentals are still catching up: with TTM EPS ≈ −11.3, the trailing P/E is not meaningful, but fo

$Shopify(SHOP)$ $172.94 (−0.53%): Earnings-eve breather near record zone; bulls guarding the $166–182 bandMarket Recap (as of Oct 31, 2025):Shopify closed at $172.94, slipping 0.53% on elevated volume (~13.4M vs ~8.1M avg) as traders squared positions ahead of Q3 earnings on Nov 4. The stock is up about 62% YTD but still roughly 5% below its 52-week high around $182.2, after a powerful run driven by 25–30% revenue growth and optimism around AI-enabled commerce tools and the OpenAI integration. Fundamentally, Shopify trades at about 96x TTM earnings versus the S&P 500’s ~32x trailing and ~23x forward P/E, putting it firmly in premium “high-growth SaaS” territory.
