U.S. Stocks Are Not Overvalued: America Stands as the Last Bastion in a Chaotic World

Introduction: Unpacking Powell’s Warning On September 24, 2025, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell remarked that U.S. stock valuations appear “quite high” by many measures. This statement triggered an immediate drop in the S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq, extending recent losses and sparking debates about a potential year-end crash or rally. At first glance, it might seem like a warning of a valuation bubble. However, a deeper look at the global economic landscape suggests Powell’s comment is more a routine caution than a harbinger of collapse. Amid a struggling global economy, volatile cryptocurrencies, and Europe’s political turmoil, U.S. stocks’ “high” valuations reflect a justified premium—America remains the only economy capable of anchoring the world’s capital. This article argues t

I think this is how the wealthy becomes more wealthy. To the ordinary man like us, we see $18,900 as 3 years of mixed rice. To the rich, this is just a small part of their wealth and this is an opportunity to pick the brain of somebody who can grow wealth by 20% each year and manages trillions of dollar so she certainly knows what she is doing and does it well. So, it is spending ‘small’ money in return for big money. Putting into perspective, if he invests and replicate to get 20% returns like her, he can invest less than $100k to get it $18900 back in one year. Yet, wisdom sticks, so his returns will compound year after year. It will not just be a networking dinner. It will hopefully be transference of knowledge, wisdom and know-how unless she is so guarded that she reveals nothing. Like

Tiger Weekly Insights: 2025/09/15—2025/09/21

I. Performance of Global Equity Indices(in US Dollar) Source: Bloomberg, Tiger Brokers Key Highlights ◼ Last week, the Federal Reserve delivered a widely expected 25bps rate cut. Internal divergence was limited, and the dot plot shifted lower, suggesting the possibility of 1–2 additional cuts within the year. The SEP revised up growth forecasts while lowering the medium- to long-term inflation outlook. Chair Powell emphasized this move as a “risk-management cut,” reiterating that policy remains data-dependent and future pacing may adjust with economic surprises. We believe markets may be underestimating the downside potential for interest rates, and the benchmark rate could decline to 2.5% next year. In U.S. equities, the main narrative remains intact: AI hardware and growth sectors contin

BIG THURSDAY FOR US MACRO ECONOMIC DATA Few of the main highlights: 1. Jobless claims came in at +218K vs +232K, shows labor market is still weak but not deteriorating with a number far above expectations 2. PCE prices in Q2 came in at 2.1%, down from 3.7% in Q1, showing even with tariffs...we are seeing prices come down 3. Consumer spending in Q2 came in at 2.5%, up from 0.5% in Q1, showing consumers are still continuing to spend which is similar to the retail sales data we saw last week Overall, nothing here that would necessarily move markets aggressively to the downside or upside, we still are in the red for the 3rd day in a row and it will be up to buyers to see if they want to bite at this dip or continue waiting for better deals.

Rules For Retail Investors Under $100K: What to Watch Out in Stock Market?
TOPShyon: For me, it’s about balancing long-term holding with tactical trading. Small retail capital means catching one or two major uptrends a year and keeping cash ready is more practical than staying fully invested. I agree most with being decisive when good news hits. Stocks often surge after earnings beats or major announcements, and even strong companies like Tesla or Nvidia should be sold near stage highs and bought back on pullbacks—strategy should outweigh emotions. If I could hold only one U.S. stock long-term, it would be Apple. Its strong ecosystem and consistent innovation make it a reliable anchor, while I stay nimble using volume spikes and holiday season positioning for tactical opportunities. @Tiger_SG @TigerStars @Tiger_comments
