$GDX 20250711 50.0 PUT$ GDX: collect 1.1% premium on this cash secured put with strike at $50. Contract expires in 4 weeks on 11th July. Had accumulated short positions when the sold calls exercised over the weekend. Selling these puts with intention to both collect some premium and also to cover back the shorts at price point lower than my holding cost for slight capital gain. Gold seems to be replaying its May 7th May 8th price movement where it shot up to test all time high and then retrace the next day. Will observe the next few days price movement to determine the direction.

AMZN was trading very close to strike price of $210 so decided to close the trade few hours ahead of expiry to remove the chance of the call being closed in the money. Happy to leave some money on the table in exchange for peace of mind. At the same time, also opened a new call for future date to continue capitalise premium collection with higher strike at well.
