$JD 20251017 33.0 PUT$ JD: poor timing on this trade but a trade committed is a trade executed. So will be working on the damage control strategy in the coming weeks to get out of this without too much scars.  Collected $84 (1.25%) premium from these short puts with strike at $33.  Seemed like a decent strategy to collect premium only to have market turned bearish fast on US-China tariffs fears that certainly impact Chinese stocks like JD.  JD closed the week at $31.72, down 10% for the week.  As of now, the setup became in the money, will observe how to manage this trade nearer to expiry, which might include getting assignment or to roll out further to buy more time.

[Earnings Season] Can TSMC Keep Rising in the AI Boom?

$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ will report its Q3 2025 earnings before the U.S. market opens on October 16 (Thursday).Analysts expect strong results — about NT$965.8 billion in revenue and NT$404.2 billion in profit (around US$13.5 billion).🔍 What to ExpectAI demand is still booming. TSMC’s 3-nanometer chips are running at almost full capacity, and its advanced packaging lines are completely booked. Even with a stronger Taiwan dollar, most analysts think TSMC’s profit margin will stay above 55%. Overall profit may jump 28% from last year, hitting another record high.Big banks like Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and Barclays all raised their price targets to $330, calling TSMC the key winner in the global AI chip race.Still, investors a
[Earnings Season] Can TSMC Keep Rising in the AI Boom?
TOPLanceljx: I expect TSMC to deliver another strong quarter, with results underscoring its dominance in the AI semiconductor supply chain. The company’s near-full utilisation of 3-nanometre capacity and fully booked CoWoS packaging lines suggest robust demand from major customers such as Nvidia, Apple, and AMD. Even with currency headwinds,5 TSMC’s gross margin is likely to stay comfortably above 55%, reflecting its strong pricing power and advanced technology moat. Tariff exposure and how new U.S.–China measures could affect export flows. Arizona fab ramp-up — any acceleration would strengthen investor confidence in TSMC’s global diversification. 2025 guidance updates, especially if management raises its AI-related revenue forecast again. Unless there is a major surprise on tariffs or FX impact, I expect the stock to rally post-earnings. My prediction: bullish bias, with a potential close around US$326.80 on 16 October as optimism on AI demand outweighs macro concerns.

🚀 Oct 6—— Oct 10 Leaderboard: Top Traders & Market Highlights!

[Miser][Miser]Last week (Oct 6–10), markets swung from early optimism to a sharp risk-off finish as renewed U.S.–China tariff threats roiled sentiment. Global tech had powered gains early in the week, but Friday’s tariff headlines from President Trump sparked a broad sell-off that erased much of the week’s advance — $S&P 500(.SPX)$and $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ plunged on Friday in their largest one-day drops since April, wiping out weekly gains.Hong Kong felt the spillover. Local trading was already digesting HSBC’s proposed HK$106.1bn privatization of Hang Seng Bank (announced Oct. 9), which rattled banking stocks and added to regional volatility; the Hang Seng slipped as trade

Goldman Sachs Group (GS) Mergers and Acquisitions Rebound Key To Strong Fiscal Q3 2025 Earnings

$Goldman Sachs(GS)$ is scheduled to release its Q3 2025 earnings on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, before the market opens. An analysis of Goldman Sachs Group (GS) upcoming fiscal Q3 2025 earnings points to positive growth driven by strong performances in its core trading and investment banking segments. However, rising expenses and a valuation considered high by some analysts could present near-term challenges. Earnings per share (EPS): The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Q3 EPS has been recently revised upward to $10.93. This would represent a significant 30.1% increase from the $8.40 reported in the year-ago quarter. Revenue: Analysts anticipate Q3 revenue of $14.01 billion, which would be a 10.4% increase year-over-year. Based on the earnings released

$HOOD has had a very rough week. Last Monday at market open the site and app couldn't handle the traffic and went down. There was another issue midweek with buying power breakdown being unable to load. Then to top it off, a ton of orders failed on Friday during the Trump selloff. The Monday and Friday issues were not limited to HOOD, but they get the bulk of the criticism. They are the most visible retail broker, they are highly successful, and those two things will always mean they draw extra scrutiny. But the great thing about HOOD is that you can be completely confident they search for the root cause of the problem, figure out from first principles how to solve it if it's under their control, and implement those changes. The platform and product will get better as a result of these setb

Rare Earth Supply Shortage May Threaten Trillion-Dollar Assets. Here Are Rare Earth Companies to Watch Besides MP and USAR Background: The recent US-China trade war has spread from resource sector. On October 9, China's Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs issued several announcements implementing export controls on rare earth-related items, technologies, and key equipment. Subsequently, Trump described the rare earth control as an "act of hostility" and stated that he would use this as a reason to reimpose a 100% tariff (or higher) on Chinese goods and impose controls on the export of Chinese technology/software. The recent rise in the rare earth sector not only reflects the short-term trade war's risk-averse logic but also signifies the geostructural changes in reso

Private Credit: The Shadowy Giant of Finance – Risks, Red Flags, and Crisis Watch for Investors

The $2 trillion (and climbing) corner of the market – where non-bank lenders like private equity giants dish out loans to companies shunned by traditional banks – exploded post-2008 financial crisis, filling the void left by tighter bank regulations. It's promised juicy yields in a low-rate world, but as we hit late 2025, whispers of "next subprime" are getting louder. Is private credit a stabilizing force or a ticking time bomb for the financial system? And what about the heavy hitters like Blue Owl, Blackstone, Apollo, and KKR – are they skating on thinner ice? Let's break it down, with a hard look at whether this could spark the next meltdown. How Private Credit Could Rock the Financial Boat Private credit isn't your grandpa's bank loan. It's direct lending to mid-sized or riskier firms
