Selected analyst calls | October 19–23, 2026
Hey Tiger🐯,
AI demand brought a fresh upgrade for Datadog, while pricing concerns weighed on animal-health stocks. In Singapore, analysts reassessed how much upside remained in restructuring stories, exchange activity and office assets.
Here are the selected calls worth a closer look, with rating changes separated from price-target revisions.

Datadog AI demand revives the bull case
Bernstein upgraded $DDOG on October 19 and lifted its target to US$350 from US$237. The brokerage reconsidered its earlier caution as evidence of stronger AI activity improved its assessment of demand for observability software. [1]
The investment question is whether expanding AI workloads will translate into sustained customer spending. Higher computing activity can support the case, but investors still need to examine revenue conversion and demand from established enterprise customers.
What matters: An upgrade built on a stronger demand forecast becomes more persuasive when subsequent results validate that forecast. A price target remains an analyst estimate, rather than a promised trading destination.
Zoetis and Elanco Pricing power comes under scrutiny
On October 20, Jefferies downgraded $$ZTS and$$ELAN from Buy to Hold. Zoetis' target fell to US$83 from US$103, while Elanco's moved to US$24 from US$31. The concern was a softer pricing environment. [2]
Jefferies estimated that pricing contributed 64% of Zoetis' earnings growth between 2022 and 2025. For Elanco, the report described volume as the driver of its growth transformation, with those trends holding in 2026. [2]
What matters: These two downgrades deserve different follow-up questions. For Zoetis, can volume offset weaker pricing? For Elanco, can volume momentum protect earnings? The same rating label does not imply an identical business problem.

JMSEA Is the value unlocking already priced in
DBS downgraded Jardine Matheson Southeast Asia to Hold and cut its target to S$25. The brokerage preferred parent Jardine Matheson, keeping a Buy rating even as it reduced that target to US$85. [3]
The distinction was valuation: DBS believed much of JMSEA's near-term value-unlocking potential was already reflected in the price, while the parent offered broader exposure to the restructuring. [3]
What matters: A restructuring announcement can create an opportunity, but its investment value depends on what shareholders already pay for it. Compare the remaining catalysts with the valuation of each listed entity.
SGX A lower target with the same Neutral rating
RHB maintained Neutral on Singapore Exchange while lowering its target to S$20.30 from S$22.20. Its note followed softer-than-expected first-quarter activity and cuts to earnings forecasts. [4]
What matters: This was a target-price reduction, not a fresh rating downgrade. DBS' separate SGX downgrade on October 13 falls outside this review period and is excluded from the weekly rating-change table. [4]
Together, these calls raise a useful question for Singapore investors: how much future growth or restructuring success is already embedded in today's valuation?

Keppel REIT's proposed S$610.9 million acquisition of a 51% interest in Keppel South Central drew differing reactions. Analysts weighed the Singapore exposure against leasing and financing uncertainty. [5]
RHB highlighted potential equity fundraising as a near-term overhang. OCBC retained Buy but trimmed fair value, while DBS kept its Buy call and S$1 target. [5]
What matters: Investors should assess the eventual financing terms, occupancy progress and distribution impact. A maintained Buy can coexist with a lower fair value when assumptions become more cautious.
5|What are these calls telling Tigers
Our reading of these selected calls is that the quality of future earnings matters as much as the headline rating. Datadog offers a demand-led upgrade to test against results. Animal health raises pricing and volume questions. Singapore brings valuation and funding assumptions into focus.
Before acting, check what changed: the earnings outlook, the valuation multiple, the financing assumptions, or a combination. Compare each broker's thesis with the evidence that would confirm or challenge it.
