Last week sent the $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ into correction territory, which means it’s down over 10% from the all-time high. The S&P 500 $S&P 500(.SPX)$ is holding up a little better because energy stocks are doing well in 2026. While the market may only be down single digits, the Asymmetric Portfolio is down 27.3% in 2026. Why? Growth, tech, and anything software related is down big in 2026. Look at the S&P 500 heat map, and you can see the companies outperforming are primarily in energy, consumer defensive, heavy equipment, and utilities.
