That same year, news first ran that Reebok would be acquired, but Adidas denied it.
\n
\n
\n
\n
,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"02331":0.9,"ADDYY":0.9,"02020":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2160,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":102429140,"gmtCreate":1620232925680,"gmtModify":1704340596278,"author":{"id":"3573484610154351","authorId":"3573484610154351","name":"Sengchai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/66783983d4a11a6ca90ad5b0eb8ccc1d","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3573484610154351","idStr":"3573484610154351"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"Lololol","listText":"Lololol","text":"Lololol","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/102429140","repostId":"2133152381","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2237,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":103636156,"gmtCreate":1619774817375,"gmtModify":1704272182426,"author":{"id":"3573484610154351","authorId":"3573484610154351","name":"Sengchai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/66783983d4a11a6ca90ad5b0eb8ccc1d","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3573484610154351","idStr":"3573484610154351"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"gooooood","listText":"gooooood","text":"gooooood","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/103636156","repostId":"2131255136","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2131255136","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1619773817,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2131255136?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-04-30 17:10","market":"us","language":"zh","title":"What are the key factors for Chinese service providers to compete with Shopify?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2131255136","media":"亿邦动力","summary":"遥望海外,淘宝、拼多多的卖家是幸运的。
Looking overseas, Taobao,PinduoduoThe seller was lucky. Alternatively, the Chinese market may not be worth mentioning for Shopify at this stage.

This statement is not without basis. According to data from Store leads, as of December 2020, North America accounted for 62% of Shopify's global paid merchants, Europe accounted for 21%, Asia accounted for 7%, and Oceania accounted for 6%. Meanwhile, new domestic e-commerce SaaS service providers such as Youzan and Weimob, which have entered the cross-border export market, have also extended their reach to overseas merchants to varying degrees. For example, Youzan has expanded into local merchants in both the Japanese and North American markets.

II. Overseas Opportunities for Chinese SaaS Service Providers

\"For most companies, growth comes from two categories: the 'existing' market and the 'incremental' market. Specifically for independent SaaS service providers, existing market mainly refers to the merchant's retention rate; incremental market can be divided into two types:\"First, we will extend other merchant solutions beyond SaaS; second, we will expand into new merchants.。” An investment professional spoke to Ebrun.

In terms of incremental growth, providing merchant solutions generally includes payment products, financial products, logistics products, etc. Expanding new merchants is divided into three stages: First, encourage more platform sellers who have not yet created independent websites to do so; Second, they \"steal customers\" from competitors; Third, we will expand into overseas markets and develop overseas businesses.

According to a statistic, in the global e-commerce platform SaaS market, Shopify accounts for approximately 23.2% of the total number of merchants, while WooCommerce accounts for approximately 28.4%. WooCommerce provides simple website building tools, while Shopify is positioned as an e-commerce infrastructure provider with services covering website building, logistics, payments, financing, etc., indicating huge potential business opportunities.

This also provides a reference for the development strategies of independent website SaaS service providers in China. For example, Shopline's self-developed payment product, Shopline Payments, can provide merchants with global credit card acquiring and cross-border settlement services.

Expanding into new merchants is undoubtedly something that all website building and SaaS service providers value.

“There will definitely be strong players who go abroad to develop overseas customers,” Jackson said. “It might be quicker to start in markets where Shopify is relatively weak, such as some Asian countries/regions, but there is still a lot of room for growth in the European and American markets.”Data shows that the current e-commerce penetration rate in the European and American markets is generally below 20%, significantly lagging behind the domestic market. At the same time, the competitive landscape (relatively fragmented) and industrial environment (weak e-commerce infrastructure, high basic expense ratios such as payment and logistics) of the European and American e-commerce markets are also significantly different from those of the domestic market, which has driven the rise of Shopify.

“Many merchants in Europe and America tend to sell online through their own channels, and consumers are also accustomed to shopping on various small but high-quality independent brand websites. No matter how strong large vendors like Shopify and WooCommerce are, their penetration is far from sufficient. For example, Shopify only has about 300,000 to 400,000 paid merchants in Europe,” Jackson pointed out.

In addition, according to an insider at Ueeshop, \"At present, the overseas merchants we serve are mainly located in Europe and America. Typically, their teams have Chinese employees and resources, so they hope to have Chinese services and a Chinese backend.\"

Third, we will no longer \"directly compete on technology\".

\"If we're talking about powerful features, Shopify is definitely the one,\" an independent website seller told Ebrun Power frankly, but in reality, most sellers don't use that many features.

According to this seller, there is no such thing as the best choice when choosing a SaaS service provider, only the choice that best suits you. From his perspective, the main focus was on website building needs, with criteria including conversion rate, loading speed, and key functions.

\"Once traffic is attracted, the conversion rate depends on the in-store experience; for an online store's webpage, every second slower loading speed means a higher bounce rate; while on-site features (such as bundling) are of great help in increasing sales,\" he said.

In other words, the key to Chinese service providers' competition with Shopify may not be a direct competition in technology, but rather their ability to differentiate themselves around the actual needs of their target merchant group.

“China's cross-border export e-commerce boasts the richest operating scenarios and the most abundant supply of goods; succeeding in the Chinese cross-border seller market is essentially about internationalization.Qiao Guanyuan, General Manager of Shopline China, believes. Whether or not to expand into overseas merchant markets depends on each company's development stage and capability boundaries.

An insider at Ueeshop pointed out that Ueeshop currently focuses on serving Chinese merchants. Once it has basically achieved this goal and gained a certain market share in the domestic market, it will go global.

“The revenue model for SaaS services requires heavy investment, and it’s not easy to succeed,” a cross-border e-commerce industry insider pointed out. “In addition, unlike B2B products, B2B SaaS requires a lot of localization and service capabilities, which may be the biggest challenge for Chinese service providers going global.”

“For example, Shopify made a lot of investment in the Japanese market last year, but local Japanese service providers are also very strong, such as Makeshop,” the person said. “Localization costs are too high, making it difficult for ‘foreign monks’ to do business.”

For example, in the Southeast Asian market, service providers need to face the fact that although e-commerce in the region is developing rapidly, its supporting services such as payment and logistics are not perfect. The e-commerce market is dominated by platforms because they mostly invest heavily in infrastructure construction and can provide local services, but independent sellers do not have this advantage. For independent website building SaaS service providers, it will be difficult to overcome this problem in the short term through merchant solutions.

\"If we focus on overseas markets in the future, we may have a new version of the product specifically for overseas merchants,\" an insider at Ueeshop also said, discussing solving the localization problem.

In addition, the pandemic has led to a decrease in the paying capacity of small and medium-sized businesses, which is also something that SaaS service providers need to consider when expanding into overseas markets.

“Although global e-commerce has experienced historic growth in the past year, with a large number of merchants moving online, greatly benefiting companies like Shopify, it’s hard to say how strong their payment capabilities are. For example, many small and medium-sized merchants may only need the simplest website building requirements, using some cheap or even free products, and their loyalty won’t be high,” said Jackson, who works as a cross-border e-commerce operator.
","source":"ybdlw","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
What are the key factors for Chinese service providers to compete with Shopify?
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWhat are the key factors for Chinese service providers to compete with Shopify?\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Looking overseas, Taobao,PinduoduoThe seller was lucky.

\n
\n\n\n
,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"SHOP":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2699,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":103930761,"gmtCreate":1619742168053,"gmtModify":1704271621533,"author":{"id":"3573484610154351","authorId":"3573484610154351","name":"Sengchai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/66783983d4a11a6ca90ad5b0eb8ccc1d","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3573484610154351","idStr":"3573484610154351"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"<a
