What Berkshire (or its managers) presumably like 1. Stable subscription-based business Sirius XM has a large base of recurring revenue from subscriptions (satellite radio plus Pandora streaming) rather than one-time sales. Analysts note that over 70-75% of their revenue is subscription based. For a value investor who likes predictability, that’s a plus. 2. Attractive valuation and “margin of safety” The stock was trading at a relatively low multiple (for a business with stable cash flows) when Berkshire began significantly ramping up the position. For example, one write-up noted the shares were trading at about 8× earnings at that time. Value investors like Buffett often say: buy when others are fearful. 3. Large stakeholder position / potential influence / capital return Berkshire holds ~

SREITs are typically used for dividend generation and any capital gain is seen as a bonus. So, for me, I choose my reit based on dividend and whether the DPU can at least be sustained. The DPU needs to at least be the same over the years and ideally even increase over the years. Of course, the last 4 years have been brutal for SREITs due to the rate hikes. However, this is usual temporal and affects across sectors. Other than DPU, I look at gearing ratio and occupancy rates and lease durations as well as the breakdown of the tenants. These will give me an idea of how healthy the balance sheets are and will remain so, and not being vulnerable to a single major tenant. Geographical location of the properties also give an idea of potential geopolitical risks. I think the real cash cows

Finding Rhythm in Bonds: My Story with TLT and TLH

Investing for me has always been a balance of careful thought and occasional impulses. I don’t chase tech crazes or viral stock hype, but sometimes I do make small, impulsive buys — little nudges of curiosity that remind me I’m human. Over time, I’ve learned that my portfolio feels calmer and more coherent when I focus on what I really understand and trust: Treasury bond ETFs. I still remember a quiet evening a few years ago. Coffee in hand, I was scrolling through my portfolio on my laptop. TLT caught my eye — long-duration Treasury bonds. Something about it felt… reliable. No headlines, no hype, no sudden spikes demanding attention. That day, I added a small amount, almost as if placing a pebble on a carefully balanced scale. Little did I know, TLT would become the anchor of my portfolio

Will Coinbase Earnings With Analysts Bullish Help It To Catch Up With Bitcoin?

$Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$ upcoming fiscal Q3 2025 earnings is scheduled for release after market close on Thursday, October 30, 2025. The core narrative for this report will be a test of whether explosive Q3 growth in crypto trading volume can translate into durable profits, or if it's being offset by margin pressure and fee compression. Key Analyst Estimates (The "Beat/Miss") This is the baseline for the initial stock reaction. Wall Street is expecting a very strong quarter, driven by the resurgent crypto volatility and altcoin rally seen from July to September. $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ $SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$ $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ 🧭 How $NVDA filled its gap and shattered the $5T barrier Just like that, I watched $NVDA fill its morning gap on 29Oct25, rip through $206 on the 4-hour chart, and within roughly 30 minutes create the $5 TRILLION club. The print at $210.81 crowned the move. At this scale, Nvidia is larger than AMD, Arm, ASML, Broadcom, Intel, Lam Research, Micron, Qualcomm, and TSMC combined, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Its market value eclipses Canada’s GDP near $2.24 T and Mexico’s near $1.85 T, and is approaching half of India’s near $3.91 T. This is not simply dominance; it is a geopolitical

Rate Cut Fury: Stocks Explode to Epic Highs While Gold Charges Toward $4000 – Is the Ultimate Bull Stampede Here?

Buckle up, investors – the Fed just unleashed a 25bps rate cut, slamming rates to 3.75%-4.00% and declaring quantitative tightening dead as of December 1. That's a massive liquidity injection straight into the veins of the economy, fueling risk assets like never before. Powell threw some cold water, insisting a December cut isn't locked in amid economic uncertainties, but the market shrugged it off with fresh records. The S&P 500 clawed to 6898, up 0.10% in a volatile session, while the Nasdaq surged 0.55% to 23,958, powered by tech giants digesting earnings beats. Dow dipped slightly to 47,632, down 0.16%, but overall breadth screams resilience despite mixed signals. Applied Optionality: Why I’m Backing APLD’s Land and Power Play on AI’s Infrastructure Boom

This isn’t your average data centre story—it’s an evolving option on the world’s hunger for AI compute. When a stock climbs 350% in a single year, my first instinct is to check if I’ve already missed the party. Usually, I am. But $APPLIED DIGITAL CORP(APLD)$ stopped me mid-eye roll. Here’s a company that isn’t just selling exposure to AI—it’s selling the ground beneath it. In a world where $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ builds the brains of AI, Applied Digital is quietly assembling its body: land, power and modular campuses that hyperscalers can lease, scale, and pay handsomely for. Digital infrastructure becomes an option, not just concrete and wires That, to me, makes APLD less a tech stock and more a structured option

Exxon Mobil (XOM) Company Outlook To Watch As Softer Commodity Prices Might See Earnings Decline

$Exxon Mobil(XOM)$ is scheduled to report its third-quarter 2025 financial results on Friday, October 31, 2025, before the market opens. EPS (Earnings Per Share) estimated to come in at $1.78, which represent a -7.3% (down from $1.92 in Q3 2024). Expected to decline YoY due to softer commodity prices compared to the previous year's high. Revenue estimated to come in at $86.8 billion which represent a -3.6% (down from Q3 2024 actuals). A potential revenue dip is also tied to lower average commodity prices over the quarter. Key Considerations: Sequential Boost: XOM's own preliminary filings suggested a sequential increase in Q3 earnings (compared to Q2 2025), mainly driven by favorable refining margins and changes in oil and natural gas prices. $Chevron(CVX)$ upcoming fiscal Q3 2025 earnings, which are scheduled for release on Friday, October 31, 2025, before market open.
