Axioma ROOF™ Score Highlights: Week of April 7, 2025

Insights from last week's changes in investor sentiment: Investor sentiment remained very negative or bearish by the end of the week, consistent with the previous week. However, in the UK, sentiment improved from negative to neutral. Chinese markets were closed on Friday when the government announced retaliations against Trump's tariffs, but sentiment was already very negative by Thursday's close. This negativity is expected to turn bearish this week, likely dragging down the sentiment of Global Emerging Market investors as well. Last week, Liberation Day turned into Liquidation Day as the last bits of risk tolerance in investors that could bend no more finally snapped, sending them running for the exit. Following the tariff announcement, risk aversion has metastasized across global market

🌟🌟🌟Time Travel is a fascinating concept that I am really excited about as I would love to hitch a ride in Dr Who's Tardis to go back to the Year 2000. Now if that is a possibility, I shall definitely go All In and buy $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$ which has just IPO the year before in 1999 at just SGD 0.18 cents.  Fast forward to 2025, DBS is now trading at SGD 43.30 per share.  DBS is also the Top bank in South East Asia  with an impressive market capitalisation of SGD 123 billion. I would be sitting on a huge pile of cash if I had invested  in DBS then.  It goes to show the magic of compounding and the power of patience and time in the markets. Time-Travel Investing: Where Would You Go All In?

Investing, at its core, is all about catching the right trends at the right time. Nail just a few of those key moments, and your financial future can shift dramatically. It’s tempting to imagine: What if I could go back in time and invest, relying solely on memory? There are definitely some moves I wish I had made—or held on to longer. The Power of Hindsight Let’s be honest: we’ve all had those “I should have bought more” or “why did I sell so early?” moments. But investing isn’t about getting every single move right. It’s about learning, growing, and doing better with each decision. That said, there are definitely some tickers I still think about from time to time. 1. Realty Income Stock Buy now or Wait Dip?

$Realty Income(O)$ Market Performance Overview Over the past month, we’ve seen widespread declines across all industries, with many companies experiencing double-digit losses. Today, we’re focusing on Realty Income, a company within the real estate sector, which has also seen a significant drop across various individual firms. Year-to-Date Market Trends Expanding our view to year-to-date performance, we see a mixed picture. While some companies are beginning to recover, nearly every member of the Magnificent 7 in the technology sector has suffered substantial losses. In contras

Pharma Stocks – Pfizer (PFE) Amid Market Volatility

The U.S. stock market has taken a sharp hit recently, with many attributing the decline to renewed fears of tariffs and trade tensions. Amid this volatility, I’ve been monitoring my holdings closely, particularly Pfizer (PFE), along with TLT, TLH, Occidental Petroleum (OXY), and Ready Capital (RC). Market Recap: On a turbulent day for equities, defensive assets like U.S. Treasuries gained, with both TLT (20+ Year Treasuries) and TLH (10–20 Year Treasuries) rising, signaling a risk-off environment. These gains reflect investors’ move toward safety as uncertainty looms over trade and macroeconomic policy. iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) iShares 10-20 Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLH) OXY plunged 11.01%, likely due to weakness in the energy sector, possibly tied to falling oil prices. Tariffs War has started, what's your move?

In a tariffs war, nobody wins. Consumers are obviously the biggest losers. Americans, whose President started it, have more to lose. Here's the winners for day 1. Potential winners for day 2 and more... There are obviously many along the same line of thought. Shorts the big techs that have lots of imports and exports out of US as part of their supply chain. It's no wonder Warren Buffett had been cutting Apple 🍎🍏! He is as sharp as ever if you ask me. What is your move? Would you go into shorting big techs too? With leverage and all? Or will you be just twiddling your fingers and hoping that the whole saga will just die down and markets would just shoot all the way back up? Or go on a holiday and pretend nothing has been? Or maybe sell everything and wait it out? There are so many different

The Producer Price Index (PPI) measures month-over-month changes in prices at the producer level, often a precursor to consumer inflation trends. Can the S&P500 stops its slide? Outlook for week of 07Apr25

Market Outlook of S&P500 - 07Apr25 FinViz Market Heat Map (05Apr2025) S&P 500 chart as of 07Apr25 Observations: The MACD indicator has experienced a bottom crossover in a few days. This should form a “double bottom”. Typically, a “recovery” can happen after a double bottom. Moving Averages (MA). The MA50 line has started a downtrend, while the MA200 line is on an uptrend. This implies a downtrend in the mid-term and a bullish in the long term. We are seeing the setup of a Death Cross (when the MA50 line cuts the MA200 line from above). A death cross can be seen as a bearish indicator. Death Cross Definition: How and When It Happens Candle.
