Uber and Baidu Partner for Autonomous Vehicle Deployment in Asia and Middle East
Uber Technologies Inc. and Baidu Inc. have announced a partnership to launch robotaxis in markets outside the US and mainland China. The collaboration aims to accelerate the deployment of thousands of Baidu's Apollo Go autonomous vehicles on the Uber platform in Asia and the Middle East later this year. Baidu's Apollo Go operates over 1,000 fully driverless vehicles globally, with a presence in 15 cities.
