HSI reclaims 23,700 - how to select a HSI put warrant to trade a potential pullback

The $Hang Seng Index - main 2611(HSImain)$ futures are currently outperforming the rest of the region with a 1.1% increase to 23,760 as of 226PM while the Nikkei is down 1.4% and the Straits Times Index -0.5% in the red

💰Chinese shares and the HSI have displayed notable resilience in the face of this week's global sell-off on AI valuation worries, bolstered by record buying into Chinese ETFs by China's National Team - a trend we highlighted in our 29 October article titled "National team and fiscal policy – Beijing steps up support for markets and growth"

🔝Consequently, HSI and ChinaA50 call warrants are amongst today's top call warrant gainers, clocking returns between 20% to 100%

While momentum remains positive, some traders may be watching key resistance levels closely

👨‍🏫Earlier this week, we shared Remisier Dan Chang's short-term view on the HSI, where his personal take was to "look for shorting opportunities on rebounds" with 23,700 serving as an immediate resistance on the HSI

✴Investors who share a similar near-term outlook and are considering positioning for a pullback can use the Warrant Selector (https://warrants.com.sg/tools/selector) to compare and identify suitable HSI put warrants with different gearing, sensitivity and expiries

23700-24000 is still the real ceiling for me, and low IV makes put warrant sensitivity look better than chasing pure downside momentum
