✨Tuesday — Singapore Stocks

Singapore stocks opened flat on Tuesday. STI was merely changed; China Aviation up 3%.

Keppel : A consortium comprising Keppel, Keppel Asia Infrastructure Fund and a co-investor has bought the remaining 49 per cent stake in Cleantech Renewable Assets (CRA) that it does not yet own from Shell Singapore. The consortium initially acquired a 51 per cent stake in CRA in October 2022. Keppel on Tuesday said that the acquisition supports its goal to grow its renewables business. The counter closed on Monday 0.5 per cent or S$0.05 higher at S$10.24.

Wee Hur : The group announced on Monday that its 80 per cent owned Australian subsidiary had entered into a sale and purchase agreement for the disposal of a purpose built student accommodation at 188 Grenfell Street in Adelaide for S$14.2 million. Assuming that the disposal had been completed on Jun 30, the estimated gain is about S$4.7 million. Completion of the proposed disposal is expected to take place on Nov 28. Shares of Wee Hur closed S$0.02 or 2.8 per cent up at S$0.745 on Monday, before the announcement.

Feels more like a hold and wait at the moment since there isn’t really any big events anticipated or happening right now. DCA seemed like a good option now

It is a little concerning that Grab results constantly improve, but for some regions there are not enough serious players to provide competition such that the growth is organic and not artificially created by their near-monopoly.
Surely consumers will suffer too, the complaints that surfaced a couple of years back, when Grab took a bigger cut from their Malaysian drivers, were simply swept aside (longer drives to pick up customers, inefficient routing due to stubbornness of using in house map application, etc.) but are real and valid concerns even today.

My stocks to watch today are Grab and Palantir, both of which saw significant drops despite posting solid earnings results. For $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ , I’m particularly interested in how the market digests its revenue growth and improving profitability, as the company continues to show strong traction in deliveries and mobility across Southeast Asia. The sell-off might just reflect short-term profit-taking after its recent rally rather than any fundamental weakness.

As for $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ , the reaction feels like another case of “sell the news.” The company delivered impressive revenue growth and expanding margins, yet the stock still dipped sharply after earnings. I see this as a temporary pullback rather than a sign of trouble — especially given Palantir’s consistent execution and growing AI-related contracts. Both names remain on my radar as potential rebound plays once the market sentiment stabilizes.
