By now the markets must have realised the uncertainties brought on with Trump's moves. It is actually fairly predictable viz. governance only over truth social, lying substantially, shock & awe tactics, threats every Friday etc.
Trump is creating the perfect conditions for a massive storm to hit US economy. It won't be a surprise if it enters a recession or a subprime like crisis in a couple of years, if not months, due to the continuous shocks he is giving.
Either he will make matters really bad beyond redemption or make himself & the potus seat redundant and the world ignores both for good. The worry I have is whether he will start a war with some countries with his actions to restore his credibility - whether make the trade wars, which he has already begun, or actually make kinetic wars a reality. Or worse still, his moves pushes US itself into a civil war kind of situation.
A clear trend is visible with countries trying to dedollarise, at least partially, by trading in local currencies & Central Banks adding more to gold reserves.
With the focus moving, more & more, away from the US towards China, India & other countries the damage he is inflicting is bound to be more long lasting. Is it time for investors to also move capital, at least partially, to China etc.? Only time will tell!
