SMCI: took a 30% capital loss on SMCI when sold these 300 shares at $45 as part of covered calls being in the money.
SMCI closed the week at $45.81 and is up by 1.8%.
It was always my plan to reduce my total exposure on SMCI and I've set $45 strike as my selling points, at the risk of 30% to 35% of capital loss in doing that.
With many months of selling covered calls and collect premiums, my final damage was actually much lower.
I was holding 1470 shares before this trade so after selling 300 shares, I'm still holding 1170 shares.
If price stays elevated above $45, they also will be called away as all my covered calls strikes are at $45.
