[Events] What’s the Longest You’ve Ever Bagheld a Stock?
We all know that being a bag holder is one of the worst experiences in stock investment.
Have you ever bought the dip… and then it just kept dipping? 😅
You told yourself, “It’s fine. I’ll just wait. It’ll come back.”
Then 3 months go by…
Then 6 months…
Then a year… and you’re still holding. 😩
This week, we want to hear your story: What’s the longest you’ve ever held a losing stock — and what happened in the end? Did it finally recover? Or did you take the L and move on?

At a point , it suddenly U-turn into USD 30-50 per barrel. Rex int dropped from 0.63 to 0.06 cents.
From 2018-2019, I restarted accumulating Rex at 0.06 and 0.08. I'm lucky enough, recovered all capital and made a profit of 6k from it. Total numbers of years been trapped to the day I sold... I bag holded for around 5 to 6 years
Have a great long weekend from the market 🌞☀️🌞
A bagholder is someone who clings to a stock long after its glory days are gone, watching it tumble while whispering sweet nothings like maybe it will bounce. It is the financial equivalent of holding the bouquet after the wedding has been called off.
I was that person. I believed in Top Glove. I held the bag. I even considered framing the chart as modern art.
But here is the twist. I don't see it as failure. I see it as tuition.
Top Glove taught me:
That hype fades but fundamentals endure.
That conviction without discipline is just romanticism.
That every scar in my portfolio can become a story of growth.
Since then I have rebuilt with purpose, focusing on fundamentals.
I did not just lose money. I gained wisdom.
To every bagholder: May your next conviction be wiser & stronger.

Here is
An Epic Tale of me bag holding SEA
With 100 lots of SEA, bought at one-eight-five,
I clutched them so dearly, keeping hope alive.
For 1701 days, through market’s wild sway,
I whispered, “Someday… you’ll surely repay.”
I sold at one-eight-six point six-zero, oh boy,
Not champagne returns, but still, a joy!
Through 136 options, I twisted and played,
Like a circus of Greeks where my nerves were displayed
It wasn’t a jackpot, but I’ll still proudly say:
“I made me some money… and it’s profit TODAY!” 💸✨

Months stretched into a year, and I kept holding, hoping for some miracle recovery or big announcement. Instead, it just bled further, and checking the price felt like holding a lottery ticket rather than an investment. Calling it a “lousy bullshit company” is honestly too kind — the hype never matched reality.
Eventually, I took the L and moved on. It was a hard lesson, but it taught me not to confuse “cheap” with “value” and to avoid story stocks without solid execution. Painful at the time, but at least I can laugh about it now — and hopefully never repeat the same mistake.
