✨Tuesday — Singapore Stocks
Singapore stocks opened higher on Tuesday with the STI up 0.36%. Palm-oil leaders Bumitama Agri and First Resources surged 6%+ and 2%, while ST Engineering, Singtel and Keppel rose more than 1%; PropNex bucked the trend, falling 5%.
Headlines: StarHub fully acquired MyRepublic’s broadband arm; SIA cut its convertible-bond conversion price; Bumitama’s H1 net profit jumped 48% to S$100 million; Straco’s profit halved; PropNex doubled H1 earnings to S$42.3 million.
Macro-wise: MTI lifted its 2025 growth forecast from 0–2% to 1.5–2.5% on stronger-than-expected H1 performance, while Q2 non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew 7.1% as both electronics and non-electronics segments expanded.
