Covering five major market segments this week to help you stay ahead of market trends and plan your trades effectively!

🌍 Monday — Macro Economy

Focus on global macro data and policy updates to understand overall market trends.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted record highs for the second week in a row, boosted by news of U.S. trade agreements with Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, along with progress in U.S.-EU talks. Alphabet's strong earnings and AI-driven outlook lifted tech stocks, while Tesla shares fell over 4% on disappointing results.

U.S. business activity accelerated in July, with the composite PMI rising to a seven-month high of 54.6, driven entirely by the services sector. However, manufacturing PMI fell below 50 for the first time this year, raising concerns about the uneven nature of growth.

Existing home sales dropped 2.7% in June amid elevated mortgage rates, though home prices hit a record high. In fixed income, Treasury yields declined slightly while investment-grade bonds outperformed. Notably, the bank loan market recorded its fourth-largest new issue day in history.

The week ahead: July 28-August 1

I'm feeling cautiously bullish right now 😎 — the strong U.S. services PMI and record highs in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq show resilience, especially with supportive trade developments in Asia and Europe. That said, I'm keeping a close eye on the manufacturing slowdown and how it could impact industrials in the coming months. My focus this week is on Amazon’s upcoming earnings, riding high on AI optimism, while Tesla’s recent dip might offer a chance to reposition once the dust settles. It’s all about staying nimble in a market full of both promise and pitfalls!

    现在未来的趋势应该还是人工智能和稳定币相关的公司有看头。和这两个行业最有关系的还是身为卖铲子的英伟达 $英伟达(NVDA)$ 。长期看好!去到200美元不是梦。

Hi @Daily_Discussion - can you re-explain the NEW clause that you have introduced (since Fri, 25 Jul 2025) ? (see below)

You may only participate once between two Daily Discussion posts .Any multiple entries within the same period will not be rewarded.

Are you saying on a daily basis - only a maximum of 2 posts from a Tiger member's could be tagged at "Picked" or "Ideal" - regardless of how many posts a Tiger member submits ?

Looking to your clarifications becos many Tiger members submit > 2 posts (daily) to benefit the Tiger Community.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi, Daily_Discussion - one more question.  When you stated "any multiple entries within the same period" - the same period refers to "a post's submission date" OR the date Tiger assessed the submitted post.

Example, my 2 posts were submitted on 27 Jul 2025.  It was left unassessed by Tiger until Mon, 28 Jul 2025 as picked posts.

If I want to stick, submitting only 2 post for Tiger's (Pick or Ideal) assessment, am I permitted to submit 2 posts on Mon, 28 Jul 2025 for Tiger's assessment tagging (of Picked or Ideal).

      Thanks.

S& P seems to be heating up a bit too much. without any basis.
with tarrifs not going anywhere.. everyone in the US is going to be paying more for everything..
I'm not sure this is the best time for all the US titans when the citizens can't afford anything.

also for US as a country, it's a bad time too, as the current policies are pushing away allies (Case in point Canada)
and with trillions in Debt if the world loses confidence in the USA..the interest rates on their sovereign bonds will just keep increasing.
