I think the saying of not putting all the eggs in one basket bears much wisdom. I would put all my money in a single stock. If I really have to choose a single stick, I would not put it in a single company. My best bet would be in an ETF and the ETF of my choice would be VTI because it tracks the world’s index. It can’t get more diversified with a single stock. It allows me to tap onto the growth of the US and not miss out on the potential big growths of developing countries. Importantly, the expense ratio is only 0.03% so it is a very cost efficient way of diversifying. So, VTI is my choice because it is cheap and offers good diversification; checking all the boxes for a Singaporean.
