Commodities aren't exactly stable either, and there are ways of trading them already that don't need a crypto currency to make them work,  having said that there Is already tether, petro, and bitcarbon  What would be better IMO is a stable coin based on a basket of trade weighted and PPP adjusted KWh of electrical energy delivered by a modern grid. it doesnt seem like the roughly 600 million dollars per year of net income from the ownership of ARM have been factored into that math. Even that probably understates the value that ARM brought in once you factor in stuff like tax breaks and R&D concessions. With the benefit of hindsight maybe they should have put the SoftBank acquisition money into buying NVIDIA shares instead, I know I wish that I'd put my whole life savings into NVDIA two years ago, but you can hardly blame them for that.
