The Nasdaq Composite index is down more than 28% from the peak it set all the way back in 2021.Despite a difficult market, investment bank analysts on Wall Street have identified a handful of top stocks with much more potential than their present-day prices suggest. Read on to see why consensus expectations suggest these three can climb between 28.3% and 40.6% higher.Global-e OnlineGlobal-e Online's shares are down about 64% from the peak they set back in 2021. Analysts up and down Wall Street are expecting a rebound. This stock's average price target currently represents a 30.3% premium.E-commerce has come a long way in recent years, but cross-border selling is still a lot more complicated than it could be. Global-e helps its customers overcome those complications and expand their businesses to international markets.Global-e's platform integrates with Salesforce, PayPal, and DHL to help merchants manage their customer relationships, payments, and fulfillment services. It also assists with crucial localization services so, for instance, merchants in France don't need to hire Japanese speakers to access that market.Global-e's differentiated services are resonating with international merchants. The company reported gross merchandise value (GMV) that rose 69% in 2022, and this could be another big year. Management is already projecting a GMV gain of around 40% in 2023.ShockWave MedicalShares of ShockWave Medical are down around 40% from the peak they reached last year. Wall Street analysts think it can begin bouncing back. The consensus target on ShockWave is 28.3% above the stock's recent closing price.ShockWave develops and markets intravenous lithotripsy (IVL) catheters that apply high-pressure sound waves to the walls of arteries hardened by calcium deposits. Analysts are highly encouraged by ShockWave's performance. Last year, sales soared 107%, but operating expenses came in just 53% higher.Reestablishing blood flow through a blocked artery generally involves stretching the artery with an angioplasty balloon, followed by inserting a stent. Softening hardened arteries with ShockWave's IVL devices greatly reduces the risk of dangerous complications.ShockWave's IVL devices boost the success rate of commonly performed procedures, so sales could continue soaring for years to come. Since this is the only company with approved IVL devices on the market, buying the stock now and patiently holding on looks like a smart move to make.AmazonAmazon stock is down around 49% from the high-water mark it set during the lockdown phase of the pandemic. Wall Street analysts think it can recover much of those losses in a short time span. Its consensus price target implies a 40.6% gain up ahead.Amazon shares fell dramatically because the company made enormous investments in 2020 and 2021 that doubled the size of its fulfillment network. When pandemic-fueled demand for online shopping returned to normal, the company began posting frightening losses.Amazon's e-commerce business stumbled, but its cloud computing segment, Amazon Web Services (AWS), hasn't missed a beat. Operating income from AWS climbed 23% last year to $22.8 billion. That makes it easily the world's leading cloud infrastructure provider, with roughly one-third of the market. Spending on cloud computing reached an estimated $484 billion in 2022 and is expected to reach $1.55 trillion in 2030, according to Grand View Research.Amazon's consumer-facing business has been in tight spots in the past, and its long-term investors came out on top. These days, it also has enormous cash flows from a market-leading cloud services segment. Because this is a diverse operation that can produce overall profits in good times and bad, buying this stock now and holding it over the long run looks like a smart move.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMZN":0.75,"GLBE":0.9,"SWAV":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3121,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9980361060,"gmtCreate":1665655226351,"gmtModify":1676537643627,"author":{"id":"3575123571805079","authorId":"3575123571805079","name":"Samal","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/5ce774adedd20551e04ac8acd29380dd","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575123571805079","idStr":"3575123571805079"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Selling now will be foolish After holding for 2 years. While the movie theater operator seems to be recovering nicely from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, massive levels of equity dilution could leave investors holding the bag. A difficult past could become a diluted future.Few industries were harder hit by the COVID-19 pandemic than the cinema industry. Not only did consumers avoid the tight spaces and poor ventilation of crowded theaters -- major studios like Walt Disney postponed major films or moved them to their streaming platforms. At the height of the crisis in 2020, AMC's revenue collapsed by 77% to $1.24 billion against the prior year, and it lost $4.59 billion. AMC's stock was later caught up in the meme stock movement, which involved retail investors buying up heavily shorted companies to try to trigger short squeezes. The company skillfully took advantage of this situation. Instead of over-relying on debt to raise capital during the crisis, it issued new shares at their inflated valuation. As of the second quarter of 2022, AMC has 517 million shares outstanding compared to just 52 million this time in 2019 -- an almost tenfold increase in just three years. On the surface, equity dilution can look like a great way out of a bind. And in AMC's case, management may have made the correct decision to sell more shares instead of only relying on debt that could have posed a bankruptcy risk. That said, there is no free lunch. And AMC's shareholders may end up paying the tab. The more stock a company issues, the less each is worth relative to future earnings. Each share of AMC only represents one-tenth of its prior value, dramatically limiting the stock's potential upside for investors. What's next for AMC?AMC's second-quarter results highlight its rapid recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Revenue jumped 162% year over year to $1.17 billion, while net losses narrowed from $344 million to $121.6 million. And although the company hasn't provided firm guidance, management is optimistic about the rest of the year as blockbuster sequels to Black Panther and Avatar hit the box office in the fourth quarter. But despite the positive momentum, AMC investors still face significant challenges. On Aug. 4, the company announced a special dividend of one publicly traded AMC Preferred Equity (APE) unit per share of AMC common stock (roughly 517 million units). In September, management inked an agreement to sell an additional 425 million of these new shares. These new APE shares look like a sneaky way to dilute equity without touching AMC's already massively diluted common stock. Investors should see this as a red flag because APE shares have equal voting rights as common stock and will become convertible to common stock in the future if equity investors (including APE holders) approve. Selling AMC is the right moveAMC Entertainment's movie theater business is enjoying a massive rebound after the initial COVID-19 pandemic. But investors could still be left holding the short end of the stick. Shares outstanding have increased almost tenfold in the previous three years, and the issuance of the new APE preferred shares could make that dilution significantly worse over the long term. Investors should strongly consider selling this stock.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMC":1,"APE":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2509,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9934600548,"gmtCreate":1663229389385,"gmtModify":1676537232572,"author":{"id":"3575123571805079","authorId":"3575123571805079","name":"Samal","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/5ce774adedd20551e04ac8acd29380dd","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575123571805079","idStr":"3575123571805079"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"When it got crashed. Today marks the third straight day of selling. Here's how things stand as of closing:Tilray shares is leading the whole sector lower with a 10.6% loss.Sundial Growers stock is down 7.6%.Aurora Cannabis shares have lost 6.4%.Canopy Growth stock fell 6.4% So whatWhat's got marijuana investors so bummed out today? In a word: The U.S. Senate. The U.S. House may have passed the MORE Act, you see, but it did that in 2020 as well -- only to see the bill die in the Senate. This time around, chances for Senate passage of a cannabis reform bill look somewhat brighter due to:An election year where a new Pew poll shows 60% of voters favoring outright legalization of cannabis, and 91% favoring at least legalizing medicinal marijuana.A year of budget deficits, where the latest data shows that marijuana taxes pumped up state budgets to the tune of $3.7 billion in extra tax revenue last year. That being said, passage still isn't certain. And even if legalization does happen, investors may still be upset at the speed at which legalization is (not yet) moving. As MarijuanaMoment.net points out today, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer originally promised to introduce the Cannabis Administration & Opportunity Act (CAOA -- the Senate's version of the House's MORE Act) in April -- and that may have led investors to hope for quick passage of a Senate bill to match the bill passed in the House. But in his latest statement on the matter, Schumer clarified that he actually wants to introduce the bill \"toward the end of April\" (emphasis added). Now whatAgain, even assuming this target date gets met, legalization won't happen immediately thereafter. First, the CAOA must run through Senate committees as it's prepared for a vote. Then the vote must happen (and 60 \"yea\" votes will be needed to overcome a filibuster; Senate passage isn't certain).Even then, the process isn't ended, because while the CAOA resembles the MORE Act in some respects, it's not a direct copy, and the Senate and House will need to reconcile their two passed bills into a single, final bill legalizing marijuana to send to the president. And then that bill will still need to win the President's approval. And the president may oppose legalization!Long story short, last week marked a victory for advocates of legalizing marijuana, but there's still a long road ahead before marijuana investors reach the (presumed) bonanza of sales growth that legalization will bring. As investors begin to realize how far off full legalization may remain, the initial euphoria over House passage appears to be wearing off today.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"CGC":0.9,"SNDL":0.9,"TLRY":0.9,"ACB":0.82}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2606,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9012981753,"gmtCreate":1649273806475,"gmtModify":1676534481049,"author":{"id":"3575123571805079","authorId":"3575123571805079","name":"Samal","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/5ce774adedd20551e04ac8acd29380dd","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575123571805079","idStr":"3575123571805079"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Why it's still dropping? Meme stocks can be wildly unpredictable, sometimes making significant price moves on little to no news. But stocks like AMC can be risky to try to trade around; shares have been down almost 40% since the beginning of the year. Before buying shares, banking on a rebound, consider these reasons to pass on AMC.The market environment has changedThe market is much different than in 2021 when the meme craze occurred. The Federal Reserve System, which is the central bank of the United States, has begun to increase the federal funds rate, the interest rate that commercial banks borrow at, to combat the rampant inflation taking place.Image Source: Getty Images.Higher interest rates tend to pressure stock valuations, and investors can begin flocking to \"safety\" in profitable companies with sound business fundamentals. This risk-off market could be bad for meme stocks like AMC and could help explain the stock's fall since the beginning of the year.Fundamentals remain weakAMC was on the ropes during the pandemic when lockdowns virtually shut down its theaters and put the company in danger of bankruptcy. The strong support from retail investors played arguably the most prominent role in keeping the business open. The company raised funds through debt and equity raises to survive. But now we are left with the aftermath, and there are serious concerns for the forward-looking investor. You can see in the chart below that AMC's enterprise value, which is the combined value of a stock's shares and debt (minus cash), is still higher than the years before COVID-19. In other words, the company's new debt and shares have inflated the stock's total valuation, despite the per-share price continuing to fall.AMC enterprise value. Data by YCharts.AMC isn't doing so well from an operating standpoint, either; the company burned more than $700 million in 2021. I should note that AMC also closed the year with almost $1.6 billion in cash, so it isn't likely to go out of business soon. However, the company will probably need to turn a profit to be a fruitful long-term holding for investors. The last time AMC had positive free cash flow was in 2019, when it generated just $61 million from $5.4 billion in revenue. Put another way, the company wasn't developing a lot of cash profit even before the pandemic.Questionable management movesAMC recently announced that it made a $28 million investment into Hycroft Mining, a gold and silver mine in Nevada. The stake gives AMC 22% ownership, with management describing the investment as an opportunity to benefit from helping a distressed business, much like AMC was a year ago.Hycroft Mining isn't in a position to generate meaningful short-term value for itself or AMC, having made layoffs after ceasing operations at its mine last November. On the one hand, the investment is a small fraction of AMC's balance sheet, which has up to $1.8 billion in liquidity if you include untapped credit lines. However, it might be fairer to question what business AMC has allocating capital to speculative assets like this. It's utterly unrelated to its own business, making it hard to accept that AMC would even know how to value an asset like this, let alone invest in it. That money probably could have been better spent, considering the theater operator is still not operating at a high level. Perhaps AMC could have purchased a stake in a streaming company, or an entertainment studio -- anything related to its core competence!Investor takeawayThe market doesn't seem as friendly to speculative investments anymore, and investors are putting more emphasis on fundamentals and profits than in 2021. AMC has been one of the faces of the meme stock craze, but it could get increasingly difficult to find support for a valuation that's still above when the company was much healthier.Share prices are ultimately a function of supply and demand for a stock in the short term, but fundamentals often tell the long-term story. Given AMC's continued struggles and head-scratching decision to allocate precious capital to a risky, unrelated investment, it might be best to stay away from AMC until more smoke clears from around its business. Investors can always revisit the stock if the company can show steady improvement over future quarters.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMC":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2017,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9035606572,"gmtCreate":1647572622053,"gmtModify":1676534246296,"author":{"id":"3575123571805079","authorId":"3575123571805079","name":"Samal","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/5ce774adedd20551e04ac8acd29380dd","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575123571805079","idStr":"3575123571805079"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"This is shill article. It recently recorded itsthird-best weekend of the pandemicwith the release of “The Batman.” Hence, the money is rolling again for the theater giant, but AMC stock continues to be in a free-fall. Though things are improving, AMC is still on shaky ground.Source: Ian Dewar Photography / ShutterstockThe pandemic ravaged the theater business, with lockdown restrictions across the globe. However, theaters are now open at full capacity, but foot traffic still lags pre-pandemic levels. The past couple of months have been highly encouraging, though, for the company with the release of two blockbuster superhero flicks.Despite its recent success, it’s going to take a lot for AMC to strike a chord with long-term investors.AMC Stock: Superheroes to the RescueAMC ended last year with a bang, reporting a colossal bump in revenues from 2020.$1.17 billion in saleswas a massive improvement from the $162.5 million it made during the same quarter last year. Moviegoers are becoming more comfortable returning to theaters, and the trend has benefitted AMC immensely. The release of the latest “Spider-Man” flick was perhaps solely responsible for the incredible showing during the fourth quarter. Having earned over$1.85 billionat the box office, the film has become the third highest-grossing film in cinema history. AMC’s management credited pent-up demand and a strong advertising campaign for the film’s massive success.Furthermore, the management did well in capitalizing on the pent-up demand by raising ticket prices. Average ticket prices in the U.S. were up to$11.50in the fourth quarter, up 15.5% from the prior-year period. Similarly, the food and beverage spending also increased by double digits in the last quarter. The momentum hasn’t stopped, though. The recent release of “The Batman”resulted in the third-best weekend the theater chain has had in the past couple of years. Before that, “Uncharted’s” releaseresulted in massive growthnumbers in February from the prior-year period.Considering the recent success of the three blockbusters discussed earlier, studios might want to reassess their stance on streaming services. Film studios are focusing on their streaming platforms and seem to be disregarding the theater experience for their users.Balance Sheet WoesWith such an incredible showing during the fourth quarter, AMC’s investors will have been curious about its balance sheet positioning. The company could generate a healthy positive cash flow of $8 million. Moreover, most of its financial metrics improved substantially from 2020. Despite that, the company’s netliabilities improved by just $546 millionin 2021 from last year.AMC is still seeking shareholder approval from last year to raise its share count. Consequently, its working capital growth has stalled. Additionally, it announced a massive debt refinancing transaction. The company will be offering new debt to push back maturities effectively and pay back some of its old debt. Nevertheless, it comes at a major cost to AMC, as was detailed by its management in its fourth-quarter filing. To extinguish the higher-rate debt, the management will have to record over $100 million in losses.Final Word on AMC StockAMC has posted some impressive results of late on the back of a strong film slate. However, the strong results haven’t done much to control the bleeding. Its net debt is still enormous, and it will take a lot more “Spider-Man” films to steer it out of the financial rut it finds itself in at this time. Therefore, its best to avoid investing in AMC stock at this time.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2277,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9036031389,"gmtCreate":1646935018776,"gmtModify":1676534178965,"author":{"id":"3575123571805079","authorId":"3575123571805079","name":"Samal","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/5ce774adedd20551e04ac8acd29380dd","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575123571805079","idStr":"3575123571805079"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://ttm.financial/S/CEI\">$Camber Energy(CEI)$</a>Will it cross 1.25 again?
