AMD announced the acquisition of Taalas, an AI inference silicon specialist founded in 2023. The move seems aimed at strengthening its position in the inference market. The tech focuses on optimizing AI inference dataflows, reducing compute and memory bottlenecks, and creating a stronger fit with AMD's Instinct GPUs, EPYC CPUs, and ROCm software ecosystem. The AI race is evolving. Training power started the battle, but inference efficiency could decide the next winners. Keeping an eye on $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$  and the broader AI infrastructure shift.

A headline pushed the stock down, but the underlying business still looks different to me. $SpaceX(SPCX)$  moving toward $NVIDIA(NVDA)$  has pressured $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$  shares, sending the stock lower. But AMD's data center business has grown dramatically: Q2 2024 total company revenue was $5.8B, while Q2 2026 data center revenue alone hit $6.7B. The latest quarter showed revenue of $11.5B, +50% YoY, with data center at $6.7B, +107% YoY. EPS came in at $1.66, above expectations, and Q3 revenue guidance is $13B, ahead of consensus. The market is debating AI chip leadership, but AMD's growth in data center remains a major trend to watch.

$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ For years, AMD has shown that an asset-light model can scale. By outsourcing manufacturing to TSM, it kept capex low while converting strong operating cash flow into free cash flow. That discipline generated $6.7B in FCF during 2025 on just $1B of annual capex. Q2 2026 capex of $808M stands out, but given Lisa Su's capital allocation track record, it feels more like a long-term bet on AI growth than anything concerning.

$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ Honestly surprised it didn't move higher today. Money is clearly flowing into the MAG7 names, and this alongside NVDA are probably the best bets in the sector right now. But maybe hedge funds are just waiting for AMD to report first. I'm still buying at these levels. The earnings, growth, and margins continue to be stunning.

$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$  Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing is developing advanced chip-packaging technology similar to Intel's EMIB. Meanwhile, Microsoft Azure growth and data-center expansion continue to underscore AI chip demand.

$Microsoft(MSFT)$ I'm hoping MSFT can reverse the trend of MMs dumping stocks after good earnings reports. AMD, MU, and SNDK need to start running up.

$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ TSM is down about $100 from its recent peak. With a forward P/E of 22, blowout earnings, and hyperscalers still increasing capex, this looks like a great investment at this price.
