The ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) expects ASEAN's economy to expand 4.9% in 2026, matching the expansion recorded in 2025.
The Singapore-based organization expects regional economic growth to slow slightly to 4.8% in 2027, according to its October update of the ASEAN+3 Regional Economic Outlook published Monday.
While economic growth is expected to ease, AMRO projects inflation to accelerate. The organization expects the region's inflation rate to rise to 3.7% in 2026 from 2% in 2025, before easing to 3.4% in 2027.
For the ASEAN+3 region -- which includes China, Japan and South Korea -- AMRO expects 2026 economic growth to slow to 4.1% in 2026 and 2027 from 4.3% in 2025. Inflation for the bloc is forecast to reach 1.6% in 2026 and 1.7% in 2027, from 0.9% in 2025.
