Universal Quantum Raises Over $100 Million, Expands in Singapore

MT Newswires10-08

UK-based quantum computing company Universal Quantum has raised over $100 million in Series A funding, with Singapore sovereign investor EDBI among the participants, as the company expands its global operations, including the establishment of its first research and development center, outside Europe, in Singapore.

The round was co-led by DCVC and Firgun Ventures, with participation from a group of sovereign, institutional and deep-tech investors, according to a Thursday press release.

Universal Quantum said the new capital will support the development and commercialization of its modular quantum computing technology, as well as expansion in Singapore, the US, Japan, and Germany.
