Guangzhou Automobile Group (SHA:601238, HKG:2238) or GAC logged vehicle sales of 126,584 units in August, down 6.7% from a year prior.
Production for the month declined 1.2% year over year to 126,727 units, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
For the first eight months of 2026, sales rose 0.2% and production contracted 3% to a little over 1 million vehicles each.
