Agilent Technologies Launches FDA-Cleared S540MD Slide Scanner in US

Agilent Technologies (A) launched its S540MD Slide Scanner System in the US following FDA clearance, broadening its digital pathology portfolio for high-volume clinical labs, the company said Friday.
The whole-slide imaging system can hold up to 540 slides and supports continuous loading, standard rack compatibility, automated scanning modes and advanced tissue detection, the company said.
The system was launched in select European markets in January and is now available in the US and additional European markets.
