Elon Musk is officially the world's first trillionaire after his company, SpaceX, went public Friday.
Musk, who founded SpaceX in 2002, was already the world's richest person before the IPO.
His SpaceX stake was valued at around $690 billion at the IPO price, while his Tesla stake makes up around $279 billion of his net worth.
His status could change depending on how Tesla and SpaceX shares trade. SpaceX shares were trading above the IPO price Friday.
