1327 GMT - Concerns that foreign investors could pull out of U.S. assets and weaken the dollar look overdone for now, Societe Generale's Kit Juckes says in a note. These worries are fuelled by President Trump's threats tariffs against European allies in his efforts to acquire Greenland from Demark. European public sector investors could either stop accumulating or start selling U.S. assets, but the situation probably needs to escalate much further before they damage their investment performance for political purposes, Juckes says. Moreover, the impact of U.S. actions will be felt both abroad and domestically, the dollar is cheaper than it was a year ago, and the U.S. growth outlook is much brighter compared to immediately after Trump's sweeping tariffs in April, he says.(renae.dyer@wsj.com)
