Nikkei May Open Lower Tracking Wall Street's Losses -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-21

2341 GMT - Japanese shares are likely to fall, tracking overnight losses on Wall Street, after higher valuations for technology stocks weighed on sentiment. Nikkei futures are down nearly 3% at 48470 on the SGX. The market is also likely to be jittery about the potential delay by the Fed for a December rate cut following the mixed U.S. jobs data. Technology and banking-related stocks are likely to be in focus. The Nikkei Stock Average closed 2.7% higher at 49823.94 on Thursday. (venkat.pr@wsj.com)
