Oct 1 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened lower on Wednesday after much weaker-than-expected private payrolls data, while the federal government's shutdown raised uncertainty around the central bank's visibility into the economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI fell 31.1 points, or 0.07%, at the open to 46,366.78. The S&P 500 .SPX fell 23.5 points, or 0.35%, at the open to 6,664.92, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC dropped 129.1 points, or 0.57%, to 22,530.946.
