Nvidia Needs to Lean Harder on U.S. Sales -- Market Talk
Dow Jones02-27
0915 ET - Nvidia reported a 35% surge in U.S. revenue during 4Q, a trend that will need to continue as the Trump administration weighs a ban on chip exports to China and more drastic tariffs, Melius Research analysts say in a research note. The mix shift toward the U.S. will allow margins to recover, as U.S. sales wouldn't be burdened by tariffs and have a more favorable mix overall, the analysts say. Initiatives like the $500 billion Stargate Project led by OpenAI and massive domestic capital spending plans from big tech companies should be a tailwind for U.S. sales that could last years, the analysts say.
