Democrats are preparing a series of congressional investigations targeting major U.S. corporations, including Apple, Meta and companies led by Elon Musk, according to The Washington Post.
The investigations are expected to focus on the companies' ties to President Donald Trump and their business dealings with his administration. Lawmakers are examining Apple's hosting of tracking apps used by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Meta's data center agreements with local governments, and Trump's reported use of Musk's Grok AI chatbot in planning a military operation in Venezuela.
The planned probes come as Democrats prepare to take control of both chambers of Congress, raising the prospect of increased scrutiny of corporate executives and technology companies that cultivated relationships with the Trump administration.
