US September CPI Rises 3% Year-on-Year, Lower Than Expected 3.1%

The US Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September increased by 3% year-on-year, compared to an expected rise of 3.1% and a previous value of 2.9%. On a month-on-month basis, the CPI rose by 0.3%, lower than the expected 0.4% and the previous figure of 0.4%.
