French 10-Year Bond Yield Tops US for First Time in 13 Years
MT Newswires Live10-22
On Thursday France's 10-year bond yield exceeded the US 10-year for the first time since 2013, reflecting growing investor concern about deteriorating French public finances and a heavier debt burden.
France's 10-year rose about 8 bps to roughly 5.09%; the US 10-year fell about 6.5 bps to 5.08% as stock-market volatility drove flows back into US Treasuries.
