Intel and AMD Surge! Catch-Up Trade: Which Do You Favor?

Intel surged 7% while AMD jumped 6% after KeyBanc Capital Markets upgraded. KeyBanc set PT of $60 for Intel and $270 for AMD, arguing AI server chip capacity could be largely sold out through 2026. Intel is seen in an “expectations reset” phase, while AMD remains in a valuation-premium phase that demands earnings beats. Focus now shifts to Intel’s Jan 22 earnings and AMD’s Feb 3 report. With AI server capacity tightening, can Intel’s turnaround narrative gain real traction? At a premium valuation, can AMD deliver enough upside surprises to justify $270?

$INTC 20261218 70.0 CALL$  Been a while since I post. This probs make up for the mistakes I made on the baba options and baidu options.... when I didn't sell early enough. Coz baba and baidu took a while to materialize than expected. So broke even on them overall.  Now with Intel.... Got some left to let the bullets fly abit. .... see how far it can go. 🚀  This is only the beginning. But once it reaches will likely wing it. This is like a corporation behaving like startup. And imagine if PE is 30. And post some good profits.  Praise the Lord. Amen 🙏 This is not AI post... 🍀😎 *Not financial advice. Do you own research .

$Intel(INTC)$   Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) — the first real product built on Intel’s 18A process node — was formally unveiled at CES 2026. • This is Intel’s most advanced in-house manufacturing in years and its first significant 18A production ramp. • Over 200 PC designs are planned using these chips (laptops & mobile AI PCs). • Intel is emphasizing AI performance, power efficiency, and broader ecosystem support (from gaming to edge/industrial AI). Key performance claims: ⚡ Up to 60% multithread gain vs. the previous generation 🎮 Up to ~77% better gaming performance 🧠 Stronger integrated AI capabilities — all enabled by Panther Lake’s architecture + 18A node advantages. $Intel(INTC)$  isn't dragged down by shorts given minimal short interest. Rather, analysts, brokers, and financial media hold biases against $Intel(INTC)$  due to its legacy status as a dominant blue-chip architect—not "trendy tech" in past decades. Now $Intel(INTC)$  operates as a high-end node manufacturer in the US, making adoption essential. Below $100 per share is severely undervalued; skip analysis until $500B market cap. Between $500B and $1.5T market cap, discussions on valuation, cash flow, or capex become meaningful. Debating fundamentals at just $200B market cap for the free world's sole high-end node tech? Unreasonable.

Why Intel Is Ripping Higher: 18A Proof Meets the CPU Shortage Trade $Intel(INTC)$   has seen a sustained rally recently, outperforming many large-cap U.S. semiconductor stocks. In our view, two main reasons are behind this market move. 18A is the credible catalyst The cleanest fundamental driver is 18A plus Panther Lake moving from roadmap to spotlight, alongside Intel's marketing claim of 200 plus PC design wins versus AMD's 120 plus designs for its AI PC push. Why does this matter for the stock? Because 18A is not only about selling more CPUs. It is about re rating Intel Foundry from "cash incinerator" to "credible manufacturing platform." Intel Foundry's last four reported quarters add up to roughly $10.

How to hedge high levels after Intel's surge

Intel shares rose more than 6% on Wednesday, becoming one of the biggest gainers in the S&P 500. Intel recently launched the next-generation PC platform processor Core Ultra3 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for more than 200 AI personal computers. Analysts attributed Wednesday's enthusiasm to market expectations of higher server CPU prices.INTC Bear Call Spread Strategy1. From my perspective, Intel's 18A debut at CES is a real milestone, not just a marketing moment. For years, the bear case on Intel centered on execution risk and manufacturing credibility, and seeing 18A reach large-scale production with tangible performance gains directly addresses that concern. The market's reaction makes sense because this is about restoring trust in Intel's roadmap, not just launching another PC chip. That said, I'm cautiously bullish $Intel(INTC)$  rather than outright aggressive at current levels. Around $40, a meaningful portion of the 18A optimism and CES buzz is already priced in. Intel still needs to prove that yields, volumes, and customer adoption can scale smoothly through 2026. If e
$Intel(INTC)$  Intel's getting a real moment again, and it's not just hype. The 18A updates matter because this is the execution test: if Intel can deliver on time, at scale, with strong yields, it changes the story from "catching up" to "competing at the top." CES helps too. Visibility + confidence can move markets fast.
$Intel(INTC)$   I bought at 38 plus it drop constantly the past month but i did not lose faith i spotted the trend of high volume options in the high 40s ik it would climb the back up.
$Intel(INTC)$  Intel’s CES update is a credible operational milestone, but not yet a full investment inflection. Bullish on the comeback? The successful ramp of 18A via the Core Ultra Series 3 materially improves Intel’s execution credibility. It reduces the narrative risk around delays and supports its ambition to be both a product and foundry player. That said, this is a proof-of-capability phase, not yet proof-of-dominance. Consistency across yields, power efficiency, and OEM adoption over the next 12 to 18 months will matter more than a single launch. Buy at USD 40? At this level, Intel looks fairly valued for a turnaround, not cheap. Upside exists if 18A ramps smoothly and PC share stabilises, but downside remains if margins lag or capex
