Review of U.S. Stock Options in the First Half of 2025: Tech Stocks Lead Volatile Rally, Opportuniti

In the first half of 2025, the U.S. stock market showed overall strength amid significant volatility. The S&P 500 rose by 5.5%, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 5.48%, hitting a record high. Tech stocks rebounded after an initial decline, policy uncertainties, and a speculative frenzy in the options market emerged as defining features, setting the stage for potential shifts in the latter half of the year.Market Performance: Tech Stocks Stage a ComebackIn the first quarter, tech stocks faced a sharp correction, compounded by the Trump administration’s sudden announcement of tariffs on Canada and Vietnam, which triggered a surge in risk aversion. By April, the S&P 500 had plummeted nearly 19%, teetering on the edge of a bear market. Tech stocks were at the epicenter of the volatilit

SG Top 10 Money-Makers You Should Know! Can You Guess Who’s #1?
TOPShyon: I’ve been following some of these top 10 companies closely—especially the big three banks. I hold DBS for its strong digital push and solid dividends. OCBC and UOB are also strong performers, but DBS stands out to me for its regional leadership and consistent results. I’m also watching Wilmar and Singtel. Wilmar's exposure to the food supply chain is a good inflation hedge. Singtel’s ongoing restructuring and regional investments could unlock more value, so it’s on my watchlist. I’ve been tempted to start a small position soon if the price dips. Flex Ltd surprised me—I didn’t realize they had such a strong presence in Singapore. I also think Keppel Corp or ST Engineering could join the list in the near future, especially with their push into renewables and defense tech. Curious what others think and are holding from this list! @Tiger_SG @Tiger_comments @TigerStars

Salesforce Stock Analysis: Durable Profits, Slowing Growth – Is CRM Still Worth Buying in 2025?

$Salesforce.com(CRM)$ Salesforce’s Transition From Growth to Maturity Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) has long been regarded as the flagship player in cloud-based customer relationship management. Founded by Marc Benioff in 1999, the company pioneered the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model and built an empire that now spans sales, service, marketing automation, analytics, data cloud infrastructure, and more. For over two decades, Salesforce grew like a rocket, acquiring rivals, innovating with cloud-first applications, and cementing itself as a mission-critical part of the enterprise tech stack. But in 2025, Salesforce is no longer the disruptive upstart it once was. The company is now a $270 billion behemoth with over $38 billion in annual revenue. Investo

After Falling 3 Days, Is Palantir Toward New Highs Now?

$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ After three straight sessions of declines, Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR) has shown signs of stabilizing. The stock, a favorite among retail investors and a key name in AI-driven software and data analytics, has been nothing short of volatile this year. Bulls argue the company is perfectly positioned for the artificial intelligence revolution, while skeptics remain concerned about its lofty valuation, slowing government growth, and the fickle nature of speculative enthusiasm. As the dust begins to settle from this recent pullback, many investors are asking: Is Palantir now on a path toward new highs, or does the stock still face too many headwinds? Below, we take a closer look at the company’s fundamentals, g

Despite the S&P 500 hitting new highs, I believe the recent Bank of America data signals caution. The fact that institutional investors and hedge funds are pulling out, along with Trump’s tariff deadline approaching, suggests weakness beneath the surface. These outflows, especially from retail for the first time in six weeks, make me more alert to a potential short-term pullback. I do believe in sector rotation, and the recent move into healthcare confirms that. UnitedHealth and Merck are showing strength, while some big tech names like Nvidia and Microsoft face pressure. That said, Apple stood out during the tech dip and is gaining momentum. With its focus on AI integration and a breakout above the 50-day moving average, I think Apple has strong catch-up potential. I remain cautiousl

$Molina Healthcare(MOH)$ Molina Healthcare’s Sharp Decline Raises Red Flags Across the Managed Care Sector Shares of Molina Healthcare (NYSE: MOH) experienced a dramatic selloff recently, plunging over 15% in a single session after the company abruptly withdrew its full-year 2025 guidance. The announcement came as a shock to Wall Street, especially given the company's reputation for stable performance in the managed Medicaid space. This sudden breakdown in confidence has prompted concerns about contract risk, cost overruns, and policy uncertainty—issues tha

📅 First Trade of H2: I Bought $QQQ on the July Momentum Signal 🧭 Historical Seasonality Setup The first trading day of July often comes with a built-in tailwind. According to Dow Jones Market Data, July has been positive for the S&P 500 in 45 out of the past 73 years, with an average gain of +1.3%. What's more, the first few sessions of the month tend to show momentum carryover, especially in years when Q2 closes near or at all-time highs—as it did in 2025. That context shaped how I approached this week’s open: with a measured but opportunistic mindset. 🛒 What I Traded & Why I opened a long trade in $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ , taking a swing position to ride what I view as a high-probability seasonal setup. Follow the bull? After initially selling off on the ADP employment report yesterday which was in honesty a prelude to today’s reports, the markets recovered and strongly rallied with SMH closing just a whisker above last Friday's local top at 280.5 but still shy of the ATH last year on July 11th of 283.07. The narrative was clear. What the market initially read as a deteriorating economy was then interpreted as rate cut imperative. In other words, the market believe rate cuts are around the corner because the Fed will need to step in to support the labour market. Now this is the conundrum. In a normal macro environment, that might be considered an iron clad certainty. But a normal macro environment this is not. Just look at the uncertainties going around. I believe the market Is underprici

Is Apple Shedding Mag 7 Dead Money Image To Becoming AI Cash Cow?

The question of whether $Apple(AAPL)$ is shedding its "Mag 7 dead money" label to become an "AI cash cow" is a subject of intense debate among analysts and investors. The Bear Case: “Mag 7 Dead Money”? Worst-performing Mag 7 stock YTD: Down ~20% in 2025, Apple has lagged its peers badly. AI rollout underwhelmed: “Apple Intelligence” was seen as tepid, lacking the wow factor investors hoped for. Hardware stagnation: iPhones and Macs haven’t seen game-changing upgrades. Even five-year-old models still hold up, limiting upgrade urgency. Lagging AI Efforts: Compared to rivals like $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ Google, $Microsoft(MSFT)$, and OpenAI, Apple was perceived as laggin

United Health’s Quiet Domination in a Market Seeking Safety

$UnitedHealth(UNH)$ In a year marked by tech exuberance, speculative growth rebounds, and lingering fears of a macroeconomic slowdown, one of the market’s most consistent performers isn’t a high-flying AI startup or a mega-cap cloud darling—it’s UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH). As one of the largest and most influential players in the healthcare space, UnitedHealth has quietly become a pillar of market stability and predictable growth. While investors chase returns in volatile sectors, UNH is demonstrating that defensive doesn’t mean stagnant. In fact, the company’s strong earnings, durable cash flows, and expanding footprint in both insurance and health services may signal that “defense is the new offense” for long-term portfolios. Its steady rise

The drama is back. Former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk are reportedly at odds again, with new headlines surfacing about potential political “retribution” and threats aimed at Musk. Unsurprisingly, Tesla stock dipped on the noise. But is this feud actually a risk to Tesla’s future, or just another short-term distraction that gives long-term investors a chance to buy on weakness? 🔍 What This Dispute Actually Means First, Elon Musk is a naturalized U.S. citizen. Despite dramatic rhetoric, he cannot be deported. The suggestion is political theater at best, with no legal basis. What does matter, however, is policy. A second Trump administration could be less EV-friendly—possibly rolling back federal subsidies, slowing down environmental approvals, or even encouraging regulatory probes.
