The Major Drawdowns of Some of the Best Investments

I had a look through some major drawdowns of some of the best investments of the last decade:

1.

$NVIDIA(NVDA)$:

- Up 12,400% in the last decade.

- Fell 66% 2021 and 2022

2.

$Micron Technology(MU)$:

- Up 5,300% in the last decade.

- Fell 58% between 2024 and 2025.

3,

$Arista Networks(ANET)$:

- Up 3,400% in the last decade

- Fell 52% between 2019 and 2020

4.

$Lam Research(LRCX)$:

- Up 2,700% in the last decade

- Fell 58% in 2022

5.

$Broadcom(AVGO)$:

- Up 2,500% in the last decade

- Fell 48% between 2019 and 2020

6.

$Baidu(BIDU)$:

- Up 2,000% between 2006 and 2016

- Fell 75% between 2007 and 2008

7.

$MasterCard(MA)$:

- Up 1,300% between 2006 and 2016

- Fell 65% in 2008

I could make this far longer but I think you get the point.

Drawdowns are normal. This is a time that should excite you rather than scare you.

    , analysts’ mean 12-month target is US$323.83 (56 analysts), versus the US$200 reference price—implying 61.91% upside .

    Analyst target Comparison with US$200
    Low: US$180 10.00% below
    Mean: US$323.83 61.91% above
    High: US$515 157.50% above
Sentiment remains strongly positive: 64 analysts rate it Buy on average; 95.32% are Strong Buy/Buy, while 4.69% are Hold/Sell.

The dispersion is unusually broad, so the average target should be read as a reflection of divergent assumptions on AI-chip demand, margins, competition, and valuation—not as a forecast. The bearish end of the range is already below US$200.
