$PLTR 20250718 95.0 PUT$

🐶💰 How I Earn Premium by Selling Cash-Secured Puts on PLTR!

📈 1️⃣ Why am I making this trade now?

I am selling the $PLTR 2025-07-18 $95 PUT because I want to earn option premiums while waiting for an opportunity to buy shares at a price I am comfortable with.

💵 When I sell a cash-secured put, I receive the premium upfront. In exchange, I agree to buy 100 shares of Palantir at $95 per share if I am assigned. This means I must have enough cash available to cover the potential purchase of $9,500.

🎯 My strategy is simple: instead of buying shares immediately at the market price, I let the market pay me for being willing to buy at my chosen strike price. If the stock stays above $95 until expiration, the put may expire worthless, and I keep the premium.

🐻 However, if PLTR falls below $95, I may be assigned 100 shares. My effective purchase price would be $95 minus the premium received per share.

🐶 2️⃣ What’s my plan from here?

I will monitor PLTR’s price movements, support levels, earnings announcements and overall market sentiment. If I am assigned, I must be prepared to hold the shares or consider a covered-call strategy.

⚠️ Selling puts is not risk-free. PLTR could fall significantly, and the premium may not offset my losses. I only sell puts when I am financially prepared to own the underlying shares.

💡 My Options Puppy philosophy: I want to get paid while waiting, but I must always be prepared for the possibility of buying the stock!

95 strike with decent premium does beat chasing spot. Bigger thing is IV into earnings though, richer premium also means assignment risk gets real fast
