$Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF(QYLD)$ 🐶💰 Why I’m Buying QYLD: Building a Small Passive Income Stream!
📈 1️⃣ Why am I making this trade now?
I bought a small amount of QYLD (Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF) at around US$18.16. My goal is to gradually build an income-generating portfolio without committing too much capital at once.
💵 2️⃣ What are the benefits of QYLD?
The main attraction of QYLD is its monthly distributions. It uses a covered-call strategy on the Nasdaq-100, collecting option premiums and distributing income to investors. This can be attractive to me because I want to generate cash flow while maintaining exposure to a portfolio linked to major Nasdaq companies.
🐾 3️⃣ Why start small?
My purchase is only a tiny fractional share, so I can begin building my position gradually. Instead of investing a large amount immediately, I can learn how the ETF behaves, monitor its distributions and decide whether to add more over time.
🎯 4️⃣ What’s my plan from here?
I will watch QYLD’s price, distribution rate and overall portfolio performance. I may consider adding gradually if it fits my income strategy and risk tolerance.
⚠️ 5️⃣ What are the risks?
QYLD’s distributions are not guaranteed, and its share price can fall. Covered calls also limit some upside when markets rise strongly. Distributions may include return of capital, so a high payout does not automatically mean a high total return.
🐶 My goal: Build income patiently, manage risk and focus on total returns—not just monthly cash flow!Disclaimer: Investing carries risk. This is not financial advice.
