$SpaceX(SPCX)$ $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Starlink AS14593 already lists Lumen's AS3356 Tier-1 backbone among its upstreams. Now SpaceX looks to be pushing deeper into terrestrial mobile.
Spectrum gets SpaceX to the phone. Radios give it terrestrial coverage. Fiber moves huge amounts of terrestrial traffic.
Starlink's currently listed upstreams on bgp.tools: Arelion, Lumen, Vocus, GTT, Telxius, WIOCC, EdgeUno and Airtel Kenya.
T and VZ have their own Tier-1 backbones. TMUS's parent Deutsche Telekom also operates a global backbone.
Lumen brings something interesting to the table: Tier-1 Internet backbone plus national, regional, state and metro fiber infrastructure.
Rent it. Build around it. Or own it.
The deeper SpaceX goes terrestrial, the more strategic $Lumen Technologies(LUMN)$ could become.
