$SPCX | Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ)

Technical Architecture & Volume Dynamics

  • Post-IPO Base & Reaccumulation: Following its record June 2026 IPO at $135 and subsequent rally to $225.64, $SpaceX(SPCX)$ absorbed massive supply through late summer lock-up expiration tranches. The equity bottomed in the $104.83–$108.37 zone before staging a V-shaped recovery back above its 50-day moving average.

  • NASDAQ-100 Rebalancing Flow: Inclusion in the NASDAQ-100 (2.82% weighting) in late September injected sustained passive index demand. Recent consolidation in the $165.00–$172.00 range represents high-volume accumulation absorbing remaining post-lockup liquidity.

  • Key Technical Levels:

Immediate Resistance: $172.00 (October peak), followed by $192.00 (interim swing high) and $225.64 (all-time high).

Key Support: $164.00 (short-term VWAP anchor), $154.50 (September higher-low shelf), and $148.00 (critical structural support).

Fundamental Catalysts & Operational Context

  • Monetization Engine (Connectivity & Space AI): Q2 revenue expanded +92% YoY to $7.81B, driven by Starlink Connectivity ($4.29B, +66% YoY) generating $1.65B in operating profit. Rapid expansion into space-based AI compute/direct-to-cell infrastructure continues to front-load capital expenditures ($18.37B in Q2).

  • Balance Sheet Liquidity: Holding ~$100B in cash and marketable securities against ~$39B in total debt and finance leases provides an unprecedented cash buffer to fund aggressive orbital network deployment through 2027. $NVIDIA(NVDA)$

  • Upcoming Drivers: Q3 earnings announcement (mid-November 2026), Starship orbital cadence expansion, and ongoing enterprise/defense Starshield contract expansions.

  • $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$

I keep seeing Owen mentioned in different trading discussions. I’ve been trying to make sense of the current macro environment myself, but there’s so much conflicting information. For people who follow his work, where do you usually find his market analysis and daily breakdowns?

I came across his profile recently. His market breakdowns are probably the easiest place to start if you want to understand how he approaches the market.

One of the biggest mistakes I made early on was thinking I needed to trade more to make more. I eventually realized that taking fewer, better-understood setups and controlling the downside mattered far more. Owen Moshey’s teaching around risk management really helped me change that mindset.

That was one of the biggest changes for me too. I used to focus almost entirely on finding entries, but his approach made me pay more attention to position size, invalidation levels, and what happens if the trade goes against me. That part of trading is easy to underestimate when you’re starting out.

This is where mentorship can make a huge difference. Beginners often think a good trader finds more opportunities, when experienced traders are usually much more selective about which opportunities deserve their capital.

One of the biggest mistakes I made early on was thinking more trades meant more profits. It took me way too long to realize risk management is the real edge. Picked that up from Owen.

Several people in my trading group keep recommending Owen Moshey. Honestly, I’m tired of trying to figure out this macro environment on my own. Where do you guys usually find his daily market analysis?

Something I learned the hard way is that protecting capital has to come before trying to maximize returns. You can recover from a small mistake. Recovering from one oversized position is a completely different situation.

This reminds me of something I heard a while back: good traders focus on protecting capital first and making money second. Most people learn that lesson the hard way.

The longer I'm in the market, the more I realize psychology matters just as much as analysis. Nobody tells beginners that.
