A total of 114 subjects received continuous administration of KT-939 for 52 consecutive weeks, and preliminary data indicate that none of them experienced any adverse skin reactions, in line with the 28 week interim clinical results, fully demonstrating the excellent safety profile of KT-939.
The long-term safety trial is an open-label, single-arm, single-center study designed to evaluate the potential for long-term topical use of cosmetics containing the raw material KT-939 to induce adverse skin reactions in humans, with a primary focus on the safety of topical application of 0.2% KT-939 for 52 consecutive weeks.
As a next generation innovative whitening and freckle-removing raw material, KT-939 is subject to registration and approval by the National Medical Products Administration (“NMPA”) prior to market launch. The long-term safety trial was completed under the guidance of the Methods for Long-Term Human Use Testing for cosmetic raw materials, issued by the NMPA on 18 June 2026, and its results constitute one of the most critical components of the registration application materials for KT-939.
The Company is actively advancing the registration application process, and upon obtaining the long-term safety trial results, plans to complete the submission of all application materials to the NMPA as soon as practicable.
