The reality is SanDisk shares had skyrocketed 469% while Western Digital gained 200% YTD. Wall Street had very high expectations.
2 ways to play this market:
1. Bargain for the bottom by buying the Earnings Dip. Fundamentally both companies are generating absolute mountains of cash from AI data centres.
2. Wait for the Capitulation Wave or volume smash. Sector wide tech corrections rarely resolve in 48 hours. By waiting for the selling to exhaust itself on heavy volume, you avoid catching the falling knife. Let the panic sellers hand you their shares at a steeper discount.
The growth story for HBM remains intact. The best time to buy is when shares are at a big discount.
