🚨 Stocks I'm Watching Today (3 Aug 2026) – Opportunity or Bull Trap?

The market has been rewarding companies with strong AI stories, improving earnings, and resilient cash flow. However, valuations are also becoming increasingly stretched in certain sectors.

Instead of chasing every green candle, I'm focusing on companies where I believe the risk/reward still looks attractive.

Here are the names on my watchlist today:

1️⃣ NVIDIA (NVDA)

No surprise here.

NVDA continues to dominate the AI GPU market, and demand from hyperscalers remains incredibly strong.

Things I'm watching:

✅ Any sign of slowing AI infrastructure spending

✅ Gross margin guidance

✅ Blackwell production updates

✅ Competition from AMD and custom AI chips

Bull case:

- AI spending is still in the early innings.

- Enterprise AI adoption is accelerating.

- Every major cloud provider continues investing aggressively.

Bear case:

- Expectations are extremely high.

- Even a "good" earnings report may not satisfy the market.

- Valuation leaves little room for disappointment.

My strategy:

I don't chase big green days. I prefer accumulating during market pullbacks.

2️⃣ Palantir (PLTR)

One of the most debated stocks on Tiger.

Bulls believe it will become the operating system for enterprise AI.

Bears believe valuation has become excessive.

Personally, I'm somewhere in between.

Things I like:

• Strong commercial growth

• Sticky software

• Government contracts

• Expanding AI Platform adoption

Risks:

• Premium valuation

• Growth expectations already priced in

If earnings continue surprising positively, momentum could continue.

---

3️⃣ Tiger Brokers (TIGR)

This is one of the more interesting Chinese ADRs.

Reasons I'm watching:

✅ Growing funded accounts

✅ Improving profitability

✅ Strong retail participation

✅ Expansion into Southeast Asia

Risks:

• Regulatory uncertainty

• Dependence on market sentiment

• ADR discount

If Chinese equities continue recovering, brokers like TIGR often outperform because trading activity increases significantly.

This is definitely one of the higher-risk names on my list, but also one with potentially higher upside if market sentiment improves.

---

4️⃣ AMD

Everyone talks about NVIDIA.

Few talk about AMD enough.

The AI market is massive.

NVIDIA doesn't need to lose for AMD to win.

If AI infrastructure spending continues growing over the next several years, multiple winners could emerge.

Catalysts:

• MI series GPU adoption

• Cloud partnerships

• Enterprise AI

---

5️⃣ Alphabet (GOOGL)

Probably one of the cheapest mega-cap AI companies.

People focus on Search disruption.

But they sometimes overlook:

• Cloud growth

• YouTube

• Waymo

• Gemini AI

• Massive cash generation

If AI monetization improves, Alphabet could surprise many investors.

---

6️⃣ Amazon (AMZN)

AWS remains one of the biggest beneficiaries of AI.

Catalysts:

• AI cloud demand

• Advertising growth

• Operating margin expansion

• Faster free cash flow growth

I still see Amazon as a long-term compounder.

My Biggest Theme

Instead of trying to predict tomorrow's market movement, I'm investing around one question:

Which companies will still be significantly larger five years from now because of AI?

That keeps me focused on businesses instead of daily price swings.

---

Risks Investors Shouldn't Ignore

⚠️ Elevated valuations

⚠️ Interest rate uncertainty

⚠️ Geopolitical tensions

⚠️ Earnings misses

⚠️ Profit taking after strong rallies

Never forget that even the best companies can experience 20–40% drawdowns.

---

My Current Approach

✅ Hold quality companies.

✅ Add during fear.

✅ Don't FOMO.

✅ Keep cash ready.

✅ Think in years, not weeks.

The stock market transfers wealth from the impatient to the patient.
