Most Investors Understand AI Infrastructure. Few Understand AI Monetization.

The AI Highway $NVIDIA(NVDA)$

Imagine AI as a highway.

Layer 1 – AI Compute (Road Builders)

* NVIDIA, AMD, TSMC

* They build the foundation of the highway.

Layer 2 – AI Memory (Construction Materials)

* Micron, SK Hynix, Samsung

* They provide the memory needed to power AI.

Layer 3 – AI Networking (Road Network)

* Broadcom, Marvell, Arista, Cisco, Nokia

* They connect the entire AI ecosystem.

Layer 4 – Hyperscalers (Highway Operators)

* Microsoft, AMZN, $Alphabet(GOOG)$

* They build, own and operate the AI infrastructure.

Layer 5 – AI Monetization (Businesses on the Highway)

* Microsoft Copilot, Palantir, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Gemini, AWS AI

* They transform AI infrastructure into products and services that customers pay for.

Layer 6 – Customers (Drivers)

* Enterprises, Governments and Consumers

* They use AI and ultimately fund the ecosystem.

The Key Takeaway

Many investors focus on who is building the AI highway.

I think the more important question is:

Who gives people a reason to use it?

$Microsoft(MSFT)$   is unique because it plays both roles. It builds the AI highway through Azure while also monetizing AI through products like Copilot.

$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$   represents another important layer. It doesn’t manufacture GPUs or operate hyperscale cloud infrastructure. Instead, it helps governments and enterprises turn AI into measurable business value.

If customers continue to adopt AI, monetization grows.

As monetization grows, hyperscalers continue investing in AI infrastructure.

That creates more demand for companies like NVIDIA, Micron, Broadcom and $Arista Networks(ANET)$

In other words, AI monetization is what keeps the entire AI highway expanding.
