Alibaba ($Alibaba(BABA)$ ) just launched its flagship Qwen3.8 Max model over the weekend. According to Bloomberg reports, it matches frontier models globally, ranking second only to Anthropic's Fable 5.
From where I stand, this looks like a significant catalyst. There could be a lot of institutional interest and volume moving into the tech sector, which might put some pressure on short positions.
