Defence spending remains one of the strongest secular themes in the market.

According to reports surrounding a March industry meeting, major contractors including $LMT, $NOC, $RTX, $BA, $LHX and BAE Systems discussed expanding production capabilities.

If Pentagon procurement increases and pressure grows to accelerate weapons output, companies with existing manufacturing scale and technological advantages may find themselves in a favourable position.

📡 The SpaceX Effect Is Reshaping Aerospace Valuations

Another fascinating development is the valuation gap emerging across the aerospace and defence landscape.

Ahead of its expected June funding activity, SpaceX is reportedly approaching a valuation near $1.75T.

That figure rivals the combined value of several of the world’s largest aerospace and defence leaders, including $BA, Airbus, $RTX, GE Aerospace and $LMT.

The market is clearly valuing SpaceX as far more than a launch provider.

Investors increasingly view it as a platform spanning launch services, satellite communications, national security infrastructure, artificial intelligence applications and future space-based commerce.
