[Events] SpaceX Is Coming. Bullish or Bearish?

SpaceX may be one of the most watched IPO stories in years. To celebrate the space theme, we also prepared a special Tiger space video for this event. Watch our little Tiger head into space, then tell us where you think SpaceX is heading next. $Space Exploration Technologies Corp(SPCX)$

The company is reportedly raising $75 billion at a $1.75 trillion valuation, which would put it among the largest U.S.-listed companies. But the debate is far from simple.

On the bullish side, investors are looking at Starlink’s growth, the space economy, satellite internet, rocket launches, and Elon Musk’s long-term vision.

On the bearish side, SpaceX is still not profitable under GAAP. It posted a net loss of $4.94 billion in 2025, even though revenue rose 33% to $18.67 billion. S&P Global also said it would not change its rules just to allow SpaceX to quickly enter the S&P 500, meaning passive S&P 500 funds may not be forced to buy the stock right away.

At the same time, Nasdaq has already adjusted its rules, which could make it easier for SpaceX and other mega-cap tech names to enter the Nasdaq 100.

🌟🌟🌟June 12 2026: Some people may mark it as SpaceX IPO Day.  I mark it as The Day My Portfolio Put On A Spacesuit.

    Am I bullish or bearish?

Every time I try to be calm & rational about SpaceX, Elon Musk casually lands a rocket on a floating barge in the middle of the ocean like it is so easy and my bearish thoughts evaporate faster than my willpower at a dessert buffet.

SpaceX isn't just another IPO.  SpaceX is the infrastructure for the next era of mankind - Space.

It is the company that made the impossible -routine.

It is the only business where bad quarter means the rocket landed off centre.

How to stay bearish on SpaceX whose roadmap includes:

    Cheaper access to orbit
    Global internet
    Lunar missions
    Mars.

Here is the truth:  Every IPO has risks & SpaceX price tag is not cheap.

But SpaceX is a company that I invest in with both conviction & maybe a little adrenaline.

May SpaceX blast off to space & beyond 🚀🌌

Bearish for now. A $1.75 trillion valuation is enormous for a company still posting significant losses. Great business doesn’t always mean great investment if expectations are already too high. The technology is impressive, but I prefer companies with a clearer path to consistent profitability. Until SpaceX demonstrates sustained GAAP earnings, I’ll remain cautious. @onlyYou

SpaceX isn’t just a rocket company anymore. It’s a launch provider, satellite operator, communications company, defense contractor, and potentially a key player in the future space economy. I’m bullish on the business, but at a $1.75 trillion valuation, execution will need to be nearly flawless to justify the price. @deal2deal

I'd say that the case for SpaceX would be that of a bull trampling on a hibernating bear - a reversal in sentiment could happen in the blink of an eye. The reason for saying the is because the there is the bullish factor of the Starlink Cash Cow, structural cost advantage of reusable rocket technology and governmental related demand by NASA, U.S. Dept of War (Star shield). However, there are the dormant geopolitical risks of economic/regulatory/sovereign national security push-backs or bans. The narrative for SpaceXAI of orbital data centers is however futuristic and would serve as a good goalposts for forever shifting by our dear motivator, Elon Musk.

@AhGong I think both bulls and bears have valid points. SpaceX has world-class assets, strong revenue growth, and huge opportunities through Starlink. On the other hand, the valuation is massive and profitability remains a question. I’d be interested, but only at the right price.

@nickname168 The fact that SpaceX may not enter the S&P 500 immediately is important. Without automatic buying from index funds, the stock may not get the same support that many investors expect after listing.

Whether people like it or not, Elon Musk attracts talent, capital, and attention. That gives SpaceX an advantage few companies have. I wouldn’t bet against him over the long run. @AhGong

@Shop . Many people doubted Tesla when it was losing money. SpaceX is investing heavily in growth and infrastructure. If management executes well, today’s valuation could look reasonable in hindsight.

SpaceX is one of the few companies trying to build entirely new industries rather than compete in existing ones. Satellite internet, reusable rockets, and Mars exploration all offer enormous optionality. I’m bullish for the next decade. @deal2deal come join

If there is more news about the Joint Venture for Terafab (possibly a new company to run it with Outside capital to help fund it), I’d be very bullish. SpaceX and Tesla both stand to make massive savings on chips if this works, but need partners to pull it off.

Vote for bearish due to sky-high valuation target. Yet to be profitable and heavy in debt.
